Before Saban came along the SEC had some coaches that were sort of living the dream. Alabama was weak and no matter how bad a season they were having, beating Alabama still meant they kept their jobs. Bama had been down a while but it didn't matter. Beating Bama still meant you kept your job. Then as you all know Saban came in, started beating them, they all got fired, he beat their new coaches too, they got fired, and on and on for a long time. Eventually teams starting finding ways to beat saban and by then the SEC had the best coaches in American with only a few exceptions outside the SEC.

Now that the king is dead so to speak. I'm wondering if there will be a collective let down from the other coaches. They may not even perceive that they are doing it. Kirby is still there but will he be their new Darth Vader? I don't know. It will be interesting to see how this goes. It always seems in life that just when you think you've arrived, is when the bottom is about to drop out from under you.

Well DeBoer better give us something good to talk about in Spring Practice and this next season, because ever since his press conference it has been all bad news.

Actually, they will very soon get back to hating Alabama with burning orange coal passion. I don't think many tide people realize who we hired and type of person he is. You ever met those people who always seem reserved on the outside but after you get to know them realize they are fierce competitors? They just don't hoop, holler and scream externally. That's CKD. I've done a deep dive on reading about the guy and listening to any video about him I can find. Joel Klatt, who we all know hates the SEC and Bama calls this a homerun hire and speaking about CKD calls him "an assassin " on the football field. He goes for the throat and goes for it all game long. He's what the kids call "a DOG".

But according to many, he cant recruit, he is the harbinger of doom and we are living in the twilight of Bama glory..................we should all just hang our heads and sing "gloom, despair and agony on me".............
