I don't see how that's possible considering the SCOTUS ruling - that would be like your employer taking ALL your income, regardless of source, and dividing it among those they wish to.This is what has to change. The University has got to be able to be approved by the NCAA OR whoever is running college football that the Universities get to decide "how much" the "students" actually ( ) get. Then the coaching staff can get involved and the read stars should be the ones who actually get paid. Right now it's "paid to play" and it should be "play to paid."
NIL money is - by default - outside the perview of the university. If that weren't the case NIL wouldn't really exist.
Now when/if the universities begin sharing proceeds from the media rights then they'll have some control over who gets what and when. But while I'm not a lawyer, I cannot see any way the university (or any other governing body) could essentially tell a player how much they can make and when they can recieve the moneyt for the useage of their name, image, and likeness.
