Ah, Florida - words fail me II

Dunno if we’ll be around until dinner but we come out almost weekly as it’s a short drive from the house - remind me of the name of the restaurant, please. Def wanna check it out.
It's "City Market Bistro," I think. His name is Dan Boyer. Be sure to remind him who you are and our relationship. I may mention to him your name and, if you'll tell me about when you'll go, I'll let him know...

Florida man arrested after allegedly thrusting at doorbell camera in a G-string

A 79-year-old Florida man faces multiple charges after allegedly exposing himself to neighbors and confronting a police officer while wearing a G-string thong.

Tyrone James Causey was arrested on May 22 after residents of his Hollywood, Florida, apartment complex contacted law enforcement. According to Hollywood Police Department reports, neighbors grew frustrated with Causey’s repeated behavior, which allegedly included walking through common areas while making lewd gestures and thrusting his exposed penis directly at a neighbor’s doorbell camera.

I promise I will absolutely beat these charges. I was framed by my neighbors and the police!

Florida man nabbed outside Taco Bell with pants down, live fish named 'Baja Blast'

A Florida man is behind bars after deputies say he was found with his pants down outside a Palm Coast Taco Bell—and with a live fish in his backpack.
When deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office arrived, 28-year-old Brandon Irizarry was still outside the business with his pants dropped, or as the authorities said, with his "chimichanga out." He quickly began covering himself when law enforcement approached.
Irizarry was booked for a count of indecent exposure and transported to Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on a $5,000 bond.

(You must really get around Authurdawg :ROFLMAO: )

I gotta get over there myself.

It's right next door to "The Hub", a local artist's facility. Back in the 70's, "The Hub" was called "The Grotto" and was a dance hall place where the kids hung out.

Then right across the street is the County tag office, sheriff's dept, and City Hall.

I was there a bunch of times a couple weeks back getting some of my bikes re-titled in my name and registered. That's it - where I put the blue circle......

I'll probably get some take out - maybe the City Market Burger. Will drop your name to Dan if he's there and let you know the reaction. :)

How many times can we vote in favor of this? I'm shooting for five to six.

Seriously though this is an issue in many places. I saw where Texas is considering a similar move. The taxes keep getting increased and people are getting taxed out of their homes that in some cases they fully "own". Except you don't own it if the government can come take it from you at the point of a gun. You are actually leasing your property from the government that is making you pay the tax. I understand the revenue may need to be raised in another way, but the way it's being done now is terrible. The amount of revenue being produced by property taxes has skyrocketed in all of the these Florida counties. The first thing that they can do to offset any loss of revenue is trim the staff. How many people are getting fat checks for doing a job that no one needs done or could easily be folded into another position or positions responsibilities?

The beauty of FL is that it's such a vacation draw that between non-homestead housing (53% of homes are non-homestead) and 'tourist' sales taxes ($133.6 billion in total economic impact in 2025), homestead taxes aren't really necessary like they are in a vast majority of the country.
