Al Weber?

If AW was a better ball-handler than Steele, AW would have won the starting point guard position, even if he wasn't a true PG. I think it's obvious to almost everyone that Steele is an excellent ball-handler. Look at his turnover-to-assist ratio. RS doesn't take many shots, but when he does, he makes them. RS is just a true guard, period; he can play both positions.

He really really reminds me of Gary Waites.........alot!

But i really remember how mid season his senior year he realized it was ok to shoot the three.........and if I remember right, he started nailing about 2 or 3 a game at over 50% from the field. When i watch Steele shoot, that's who I envision. And Waites very very seldom turned the ball over.

I love Gary Waites!

He was an excellent point guard. He led the league in assists for 2 straight seasons, I think. I agree Cajun. RS plays like Waites. He isn't flashy, but he gets the job done. I think RS's career will mirror Waites'. He'll start shooting the ball more next year. Look at how he played against USC. CD has a lot of confidence in him. When CD got doubled he pitched it to a wide open RS and RS nailed 2 or 3 treys.
