ALA-BAMA cheer

I wondered what you guys would think about us doing that during the game when our team is on defense???? I think that would be extremely intimidating to the other team.

I think just good old fashioned yelling on everyone's parts does the trick. ( see Florida and LSU) The ALA-BAMA is more for the fans. Every school has their version of it.

Maybe they did. With all the crimson in the stadium I'm sure it wouldve been the quietest rammer jammer in history.

I voted no only because if I'm in the stands I'm concentrating on the game. I don't want to worry about saying Bama at the appointed time.

personally i love when this cheer comes up. its probably one of my favorites. i just love to watch the pom poms shake a whole 2 seconds before you hear what they other side said. it gives me chill bumps

I think we should also do a ROLL--TIDE chand like we do Ala-Bama.... I could have sworn we used to do that 4 or 5 years ago but all of my friends say no...but i think it would be cool to do the Roll--Tide one sometime and then the Ala-Bama one other times

But, seriously the best time for any BAMA cheer is at work especially if you work with any Orange wearing fans!:biggrin:

As a matter of fact a Bama coworker of mine and I used to do a bit of "gimme a B, gimme an A," etc. and then yell Roll Tide as loud as possible to the chagrin of Barners all around. BTW, we worked on a loading dock not in the office but don't let that stop you, white collar cheering is probably even more fun!

I was working out in the gym today in monroe lousiana and I turned on the main tv to css and watched crimson tide today. They were talking spring practice and saban. When he was talking about how he was impressed with the offense and how he and his wife were happy to be there you should have seen looks on the faces.

Not true. I'm going to scream my voice away at every bama game until I'm physically unable to attend them. It doesn't matter to me whether we win a game at all between now and then. I will still cheer.

I'm ambivalent about any specific cheer beyond 'Roll Tide'-enjoy them all; some more than others. The key IMO is what is appropriate and when. So cheer on!
Now. If I had a vote, the single loudest chant would be 'Stay @ the Game'. If you are a school official and attend the game - you stay until game's over. If you are a fan and attend the game - you stay and cheer until game's over. (Exceptions: Medical emergency or sudden illness, etc. "Too hot, too cold, raining, sunshine, another appointment, wanna 'beat the crowd'" doesn't qualify.) We want the teamto stay in the game until it's over. The team deserves no less from the fans. Win, lose, or draw. 'We're in this fight together until the end.' And it is never appropriate to boo.... anyone for any reason IMO.
Last year (during the televised games) the most impressive 'fan base' was UCLA's. They have had six consecutive losing seasons but the fans who show for games stay and cheer until game ends. Why? They said they believed in their staff and their team and want to show their support and to do otherwise is rude and non-supportive. (I think I'm recalling correct team.) Great 'lessons learned' for Bama fans. :BigA:
