"So with the talk of the 8 vs 9 game SEC schedule, there is again talk of Auburn having to drop Georgia off the schedule if we stay at 8. Personally, I would rather keep the Georgia game and drop bama off the schedule.



1. I love being the 'South's Oldest Rivalry'. A lot of games have a special name like the 'Iron Bowl', but only 1 is the oldest.

2. Recruiting from both states is important. All our home games are already played in Alabama, but vs Georgia is our only game played in that state. That exposure is important.

3. There is a large part of our fan-base/family that live or grew up in Georgia, and UGA is their most hated rival. If every Auburn fan had to choose a most hated team, bama and UGA would get most of the votes. Between those 2, my guess is bama by a 60-40 margin, but that is just a guess.

4. Personally, growing up in Birmingham, I hate bama. I don't have that same kind of hate for UGA since I have not been around them too much, but I have always enjoyed that rivalry. I would love to get the Tennessee rivalry back too,
