I love the ones that got away from Auburn. We got 'em both. :D

Great to continue to read about all of our recruiting success. It never gets old.

I don't care what rankings are as long as we have the right guys to win. The only difference between the top 10 classes come fall will be coaching. We have the best in the business when it comes to that. Talent is pretty similar in the top 5 (to sometimes 10).

This class is phenomenal when you start breaking it down by numbers.

According to Rivals, who I consider to be the best overall recruiting service, we signed:

The number one O-Linemen prospect in the country in Cyrus K.

The number one DB prospect in the country in Nix.

The number one all purpose running back prospect in Dee Hart.

The fifth and seventh best linebacker prospects in Calloway and DePriest.

The 4th and 7th best Defensive end prospects in Pagan and Dickszon.

The 10th best wide receiver prospect in the country in Shinn.

Plus the number one juco prospect in the country in Williams plus Dial and Douglas, both rated top ten.

Just an incredible class that filled many needs.

I like how it says that "Brent Calloway and Trey DePriest are the latest additions on [the linebacking] front as the Alabama defense just reloads". Reloads? Hard to use that term when Bama's returning 9 defensive starters. More like adding depth and upgrades to an already stellar D. Think we were good the last two years? Wait til you get a load of the next few!

ESPN has updated, said CK wasn't enoough to overtake FSU.

The addition of Kouandjio bolsters Alabama's class but it wasn't enough to push the Tide past Florida State for the top spot in the ESPN rankings. The Tide remain in the mix for the nation's No. 1 prospect, five-star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, and his addition could be enough to give Alabama the No. 1 ranking. Clowney, one of only three players remaining uncommitted in the ESPNU 150, is scheduled to announce his decision on Feb. 14.

Sorry if already posted, but 29 signees for Southern Cal????? I thought they were on porbation and could only sign something like 15 - 18 players for the next 3 years. I guess I was wrong about that. Even if they were to back-count a few and sign and place a few, it's a really high number. I think if Auburn gave the NCAA the finger by playing Cam Newton all year, then this is USC mooning them and flicking a booger at them. good grief.

A couple of their signees are backcounters due to the attrition they faced w/ transfers and recruits who didn't end up signing when they got their sanctions. They also signed that amount in hopes that the NCAA would lessen the penalty after the appeal.
