Last year Yexel got around 3 million. Boogie Fland got 2.3 million and PJ Haggerty got 2.5 million. Donovan Dent got 2.1 million. Derion Williams got 2 million. They were the top 5 guys last year in the portal. So I figure the top 5 will be around that again this year.

I suspect NIL prices are going up dramatically each year and that we are a few years away from them stabilizing year to year.

I suspect NIL prices are going up dramatically each year and that we are a few years away from them stabilizing year to year.

Especially with Michigan winning with all 5 players transfers. Agents will be saying you can’t win unless you pay for transfer guys and high school recruiting isn’t the answer to championship teams. I suspect players to try to get every penny at least until or if the NCAA makes their new transfer rules. Right now you have guys bouncing around every year getting extra money with no repercussions. The 1 transfer rule should fix that if they get that and the courts don’t overrule it.

We probably would have had to pay him more if he went into portal and other teams got into it. Him just choosing the draft option but not getting in portal allowed us not to have to bid against other teams and by the time he did withdraw from draft many teams had spent there budget. We kept money out for him and if he left were most likely going after guy from USC.

The NCAA let college sports spiral fast once NIL money opened up. With no real structure, it was bound to happen. At this point, it might take former players pre-NIL suing for their share to burn the system down and force a true reset.

Can you look and see what some of the freshman got last year? I don’t see how some of these teams were under a $15 million. And they said the prices would be up about 35% year over a year, from what I’m saying it’s way higher than that.

So if our NIL is up 50%, but prices are up 35%, then 1.5/1.35 = 1.1111, so we're only getting about 10% extra buying power. That's not good.

Freeman is ranked below Sherrell in the power forward rankings. He’s 6’9” and 205, similar to Bol Bowen.

Heard today that Sherrill being in the portal isn't a done deal yet. Not sure how that squares with what you're seeing there.
