34-13 Yes, a very memorable score. But for this game.
Bama - 31
Clemson - 17
The ACC and The Miami Herald think this game is just a warm up for Clemson's run at the title. I think they are in for a rude awakening. They'll fold the tents and head back to SC early in the 4th quarter. Our DL will dominate late and they are going to be extremely surprised at our team speed. RTR

Bama 45 - Clemson 24. The newcomers on the O-line for Clemson will be exploited by our more aggressive D-front. Our offensive skill players will be too speedy and there will be too many who can take it the distance on each play for Clemson to cover everyone. I think pressure from our D will result in 4 picks by our secondary and LB's.

28-17 Bama. Our defense is too much for that young OL. Saban is going to blitz their brains out. Terrance Cody gets a tip ball interception and runs it back for a TD and does a Nikita Stover dive into the end zone and the Georgia Dome shakes for ten minutes.

I think 31-17 Bama is a good bet. And I'll also bet that Julio gets his first, maybe even his second, career TD's in this game. Roll Tide Roll!!!!!

I laid out two scenarios in the previous thread about this; and the more I read the more I think the low scoring one is correct. I think the defenses will both do well, and it'll come down to special teams and the kicking game. 24-21 Bama.

All sportscasters, sports gamblers, and real football fans know that Alabama fans are incurably optimistic when picking scores. Reading thru this thread, I don't see how that could be disputed! Nevertheless, I'm going with the flow here, because optimism is so much pleasanter than pessimism.

Alabama 31
Clemson 28

And in the spirit of predictions...
  • Klimpson abandons the run after our first TD
  • Corso wears a tigger head
  • Julio gets in the Heisman race in his first game
  • Jack Bourbon changes his avatar to Nick Nolte
  • The topic Saturday night on Tidefans.com is "Will we win the MNC this year"
