Hey I am as much a Bama fan as anyone on here. I don't make every game but for me to make a home game is a two day journey. When they lose I have a 6 hour drive home. Some of you live within the state lines and complain about wasting time.

That said.... who in their right minds thought this team was going to be great? THIS TEAM IS A SENIOR CLASS RECRUITTED BY FRAN AND PRICE!!!! Everyone is on Shula's Jock less than a year ago and now they want his head. I am the guy who never wanted Shula but, I will defend him. He doesn't have the talent developed yet (meaning a young team). Y'all now want to complain that we might not make a bowl. REALLY?!?! Do you think our team is as bad as UGA?!?! They didn't have probation and the equivilent of musical chairs with the coaching staff four years ago.....

YES I AM FRUSTRATED WITH THE TEAM! YES SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!

Your whining on sports talk shows and message boards is helping though. Helping us lose top prospects to other teams. Look around. Would you want to be FSU, Miami, UGA or even UT last year. Remember that.... funny how every team goes to the cotton bowl sucks the next year. We are in the last year where probation hurts us. But with your posts and calls to talk shows, that hurts us well. So shut up and enjoy the basketball season. We should make a list of everyone calling for Shula's head. Next year we can call them out when we are back where we belong.

tired of losing games we should have won!

Hmmmm, i originally thought this team would have gone 10-2 and we could easliy be in that position right now if it wasn't for poor play calling, lack of guts, and deer in the headlights looks from the sidelines.

This team has some young talent but that excuse is way overdone....we could have beaten Ark if it wasn't for poor coaching in the end, same for tenn, they were beat till the end of the game, FL was an outright lose but we looked good in the beginning and msu was flat out poor preparation.

I think getting dominated by miss. state at home pretty much takes care of that.

I've been thinking about a post similar to this one all week. I didn't quite know how to say what I wanted to get across. I think you said most of what I was thinking. One thing is for sure. If we somehow beat LSU and Da Barn, Shula will get many monkeys off of his back. After what happened with Dubose, I'm just happy to have a coach that is not cheating...at football or on his wife. Yes, we had no business losing to MSU last week. I'm mad about that too. Yes, if Shula doesn't make some changes and/or we end up like this next year, I'll be in line with the rest of you to throw a brick though his window (not really, but you know what I'm saying). I liked the hire then and I like it now. I still think he will get us where we need to be. When he was hired, I said he needed 5 years. Next year will be #5. If we don't win 11 games, beat UT and Auburn and go to Atlanta next year, I'll want his head. Why??? Because that's what we should expect. We've seen flashes of how good this team can be this year. Tennessee is a very good team. We were within a defensive stop of beating them. Arkansas might be one of the best in the nation and we lost by 1 point and a chance or bounce here or there and we win that game. Next year, if we're coming close, we've got something to gripe about. With as young a team as we have, we should be happy with what we get the rest of the year and get ready for an awesome 2007 team!!!

Maybe we should also make a list of those who want to delay the ineviatable, then next year when we're still irrelevant in the SEC, we can remind them.

Be sure to put my name on your list.:)

Who in their right mind THOUGHT WE WOULD LOSE TO MISS STATE. A team which hadn't won an SEC road game in SIX YEARS!!

I am the guy who never wanted Shula but, I will defend him. He doesn't have the talent developed yet (meaning a young team).
Yes we know. Shula has had probation, first time head coach, young team, injuries, Jupiter is in the seventh house, Brittney broke up with KFed etc etc

Y'all now want to complain that we might not make a bowl. REALLY?!?! Do you think our team is as bad as UGA?!?! They didn't have probation and the equivilent of musical chairs with the coaching staff four years ago.....

THEN QUIT LECTURING US AND TELL THE COACHING STAFF.

Your whining on sports talk shows and message boards is helping though. Helping us lose top prospects to other teams.
You're right. Lets just post on here how great this team is and how Mike Shula is the best coach in the country. Lets just be a bunch of phonies who don't live in the real world like you. Let's pretend that a loss to Miss State is really a good thing and how we were lucky Mike Shula is our headcoach because he kept us in that game and kept us close in the Ark game.

Look around. Would you want to be FSU, Miami, UGA or even UT last year.
The coach of everyone of those teams has won a championship

My advice to you would be to quit listening to sports radio, stop going to internet sites and quit lecturing people on what they should and should not do. People are tired of the "sunshine pumpers" that act is getting old especially after last weekend

So I guess Darby, Castille and McClain just flat out suck? What makes you think we will be so much better with the same coaching staff but without those players?

We just got punked by MSU at home. MSU was on probation too and has alot of injuries. We were never in the game. Let me repeat we lost to MSU at home and we never had a chance. Id rather be a cry baby than be a homer with my head stuck in the sand.

I think we're seeing the results of hiring someone not qualified for the job. Mal Moore took a risk and it appears to be going the wrong direction. Not having your team physically prepared has nothing to do with youth, probation or anything out of the direct control of the coach. That element ALONE is an embarrassment. Not having your team physically prepared for three consecutive years is an offense that would get most coaches fired and wouldn't even see a fourth year. Yet Shula continues to put an offense on the field that is not physically prepared to play the game. You might not have control of the current talent because of sanctions, but you have ABSOLUTE control on whether they are in shape or not. That is something no one can spin or sugar coat. That isn't even touching the issue of mental preparedness. That to is in absolute total control of the coach.

Anyone making a decision on where to go to college by reading internet message boards isn't a very smart person. Message boards are filled with truths, lies, bigger lies, opinions and all kind of other junk. I don't think recruits are walking out the door because of message board meltdowns. If that was the case the majority of recruits wouldn't even sign with a college. Ever been to other boards after a loss? They are filled with the same stuff. So if the recruit eliminated all the schools with message boards that had "meltdowns" he wouldn't be playing for anybody.

Put down the Shoolaid and step away from the pitcher, please.

I was on the Shula side of the issue until an Alabama team with decent talent got outplayed, at home, in November by arguably the worst team in the SEC. Bama was outprepared, outplayed and outcoached.

Dude, Missy State beat Alabama like we owed'em something. In our own house.

If it had been a close game, maybe I'd still be over there by the Shoolaid pitcher with you. But 24-16 doesn't describe how badly Bama was dominated.

Umm...yeah! Pretty much disagree with everything in your post, and, yeah, go ahead and put my name on your list! Your post isn't the first, second, or third of its kind, and it's getting old...quick!

Isn't that the truth. For the life of me, I just can't understand people who continue to make excuses for failure. I may be about the most impatient person in the world, but I can also recognize when change is needed. Too bad those making 7-figures per year can't recognize the same. At the latest, it was needed about 3/4 of the way through last season!

For the record.... I am not making excuses for the MSU loss.

I am not making excuses for the staff.

I am not making excuses for the direction.

I am saying the guy is coming off a 10-2 record. This was the year "real fans" (meaning those who follow recruitting and the teams roster on a daily basis) saw that this team wasn't going to be that good. Now, I'll be the first admit to say MSU loss is shocking. BUT, on the recruitting trail Shula is looking awesome. I also see the talent that is raw on the field. I just don't think this can fall solely on the shoulders of SHula.

What do we get to do if Shula is fired??? Start over again... I am a huge Alabama fan... But, if we (the fans) keep this crap up... No head coach in their right mind would ever want to coach one game in Tuscaloosa... Seriously... Do any of you think we could get anyone better? No... Not right now... Not with a black cloud over their head as soon as they lose a game they weren't supposed to... MSU beat us... So what! They were freakin' due!!!

Everyone on here last year was talking about how great everything was and how no one in their wildest dreams thought we could win 10 games... There were people posting pictures comparing how much Coach Shula looked like Coach Bryant in his Navy pictures... My, how the tables have turned... Let's just get through these last 2 - 3 games and if there aren't any changes made complain then... Complaining now does no one any good...

And if you think that prospective players don't listen to sports radio or surf message boards... You are only kidding yourself... So, relax have a drink have 10... Bama's gonna be alright...

Throwing my prediction out there...

Bama - 20
LSWho - 13 OT:eek:

You can put that in the margin next to the bellyacher's;)

Losing to MSU is bad, not being able to score a touchdown is worse. Struggling to win against FIU is pretty bad as well. All in all, I would say that this is the time to start yappin'.

Until now, I have been pumping sunshine by the boat-load, slinging the BAMA kool-aid everywhere, and been staunch in my defense of CMS.

But watching a team get worse each week put a stop to that, now we have some serious question that require equally serious answers.
