I am pretty sure more news outlets use Rivals when going over team rankings. I know the Atlanta Journal lists Rivals rankings when discussing recruiting.

Both sites have good insights on recruiting. BOL,has more number of articles,but at different times each has as good quality. I always take every site and look at the overall average,but in the end it will be 2 years before you can tell which is closer to the truth.

Truth be told, I don't really care where they rank us, as long as we are getting the recruits that CNS and staff have targeted to make Bama better!

Whether or not we're #1 in America doesn't matter nearly as much to me as being a significant and solid #1 in Alabama. Since 1995, Auburn has gotten more than its fair share of Alabamians, and UT, UF, LSU, and few others have stepped in and grabbed some top players. I'm very pleased to see the way Saban and staff have locked down the state w/r/t Auburn, and I'll be extra-pleased if they can get Harris and Jones and keep them in-state.

We've got to consistently win the state and force Auburn back into Georgia so that they have to compete with Richt over there.

I could be wrong, but I suspect if we get Julio and Harris we'll end up with the consensus top class in the country ... i.e., #1 on almost everybody's list.

I like to think that Alabama is #1 on every single thing possible - from the piddly-est internet polls to the national championship & everything in between - the more, the better. BRING IT ON!!!!!!

Truth be told, I don't really care where they rank us, as long as we are getting the recruits that CNS and staff have targeted to make Bama better!

I am with you.....two places I truly want to be ranked #1 are:

1.Final SEC rankings
2.Final BCS rankings

Grant it.....being at the top of the recruiting rankings betters our chances of being ranked #1 in those two but those are the only ones I really want.

Give me top 5 recruiting every year for the rest of UA's existence and everyting will fall into place.
