If our offense shows up to play the way they are capable of playing, I agree with Bama Lee: 42/23.

But if the offense that shows up just to give the defense a short breather, I agree with Crimson Cat 21/17.

Whichever way it goes, I say "ROLL TIDE ROLL"!!!!! I'm behind Bama all the way!!!!!

Wow, there's some big offensive numbers being predicted here. Are you guys and gals thinking our QB situation will be resolved this week? Remember - no passey, no runney.
I don't see anything in the Ole Miss defense that says they will be a bigger problem to our passing game than Vandy , Arky, or even Houston was. Even with the QB play of the past few weeks (I would argue that we've had the same problem all season - it was just masked early by weaker opponents), I don't see them holding us under 25, and I wouldn't be surprised to see 35.

I think Alabama fans in general tend to be too mercurial: when the team looks pretty good (like after Arky), we think they're better than they are, and when the team looks like it has some problems (like after the last three opponents), we think they're worse than they are.

Yes, we've got problems, but we're still an offense that's averaging 31pts/game against opponents that give up 27/game. Against the pass, Vandy, Arky, UGA and FSU are ALL better than Ole Miss. And those teams give up an average of 20pts/game. We averaged 26/game against them. Ole Miss gives up 28/game. So an expectation of 30 or better against Ole Miss shouldn't seem odd.

I don't understand these predictions in the low 20s, much less those in the teens or even single digits :)eek:). Come Saturday night, I may be proven wrong. But right now I honestly can't see us scoring less than 25, QB problems or not. To be honest, I think that we'll have a lot bigger problems if we sit JPW, as some are suggesting.

If our offense can sustain some long drives, devour some clock, and keep our Defense fresh, good things can happen. This will be the first real hostile crowd UA will have faced this year (Vandy certainly doesn't count), so that (and the early morning start) may be two external factors to consider. I honestly believe we're going to see some new offensive wrinkles - maybe a few more toss sweeps and passes to the tight end. :)

Like others have said, it depends on what offense shows up and basing it on the fact that we haven't seen much improvement, if any, over the past few weeks I'll predict:

Bama 17
Ole Miss 20

If somehow we start to click and our defense gets to rest a lot during the game:

Bama 31
Ole Miss 17

The spread is Alabama -6.5

I think this will be closer then that...don't think we win by 7 (may be good bet)
==============

Unfortunately...my brain says BAMA loses this one

But my heart says BAMA wins 24-21----

ROLL TIDE!!

This is going to be a dog fight, but Bama should have enough in the gas tank to squeak out a victory.
