Alabama on today's kmart circular

I was going through the Sunday newspaper when I saw the kmart circular with this kid wearing an Alabama t shirt and Alabama boxers.

There's one here in Huntsville still open. I go in occasionally, because it's near Costco. You feel kind of sorry for both the employees and customers. Sort of like zombies...

they just opened one in west mobile around thanksgiving last year. not that i ever go in there

There are two left in the Birmingham area. One in Trussville and another in Homewood on Green Springs.

Wally World killed em down here. I worked for a company that went belly up so I know about the employees.

One of the Best places to buy Alabama stuff down here was Steve & Barrys, nothing was over $10 bucks.

Now I have to drive to buy, still not sold on Internet buying, old fart, I know.

We had one [for years and years] located in a shopping center just a few blocks away from another shopping center "anchored" by a Wally Mart.

The the Wally Mart moves west of town and is now a Super Wally Mart. Resulting in more traffic to the K-Mart (because now it's closer to town). So what happens? They close the K-Mart down. Now the smaller stores over in the old Wally Mart shopping center are being kicked out. Including the best pet store (family-owned too) I've ever frequented.

People get bent out of shape on the national-scene political talking points but for me this is the stuff that "bends me out of shape!"

As to the ad featuring Bama gear...why not? The Bama Nation with it's football legacy is part of our nation's culture is it not? Roll Tide!

when I lived in NY, If you caught a rare CFB segment on talk radio, Alabama was always talked about favorably.

There's a K-Mart still here in Milton. I feel guilty that I don't go there more, but it seems that they don't promote their store like Wally-Mart does. Plus they don't sell groceries.

There's one in Albertville at 431 and 75. Stop in when I'm through there. Since they are a part of Sears network, I usually stop in the hardware dept. to check out the Craftsman tools.
