The problem with that, of course, is that the tough defenses don't roll onto the schedule until later in the season. If Saban goes with Hurts as the first team qb that long, Tua will be gone or going and I would not blame him one little bit.

I have to admit the when I saw Tua’s amazing play against Vandy, I first thought it was dumb luck and throwing it up for grabs. Upon numerous re-watches, I saw that it was just an absolutely phenomenal play. This could end up being a fun year to watch.

I have to admit the when I saw Tua’s amazing play against Vandy, I first thought it was dumb luck and throwing it up for grabs. Upon numerous re-watches, I saw that it was just an absolutely phenomenal play. This could end up being a fun year to watch.

It's going to be real fun. I don't think I've ever been THIS excited for a football season. The best part is it will likely be a 2 year deal.

It's obvious this is a "big" thing for us, but college football fans everywhere are tuned in too.

I've got a big Sooner friend here in Texas and he texted me the other day and asked "Jalen or Tua?"

Edit: By the way, when I said it's probably going to be Tua but CNS hasn't said yet, he said, "It's got to be Tua.":smile:

Earle I saw your post about this earlier and NOBODY here would question your souces. But what CNS said with his own mouth in the Patrick interview surely didn't sound like CNS was learning toward Jalen.

Good news is will find out in about 32 hours, if it doesn't leak out before then.

The problem is that its hard to know what leaks are accurate unless you yourself are the one getting the info. I still think its Tua though.

FWIW, something happened between what Earle posted and the DP interview. Earle can share it (or not) if he wants, but it almost certainly changes things.

I think I know what TIDE_HSV and crimsonaudio are talking about. I found out about it this morning. I got it from a pretty reliable source. This same source also said that Tua got the majority of the reps this week as well, so we'll see.

Just my personal opinion, regardless of what has since happened, that I have no clue as to what it is. If Saban was truly going to start Jalen over Tua doesn't sit well with me, to be quite honest. No way the guy beat out Tua and CNS's stance has always been "The best guy plays". I'll sit back down now at the kids table and sip on my bottle. LOL!
