I never even thought about him going pro next year.
But I’m glad he decided to come back.

The odds are better that I will be the starting QB at Bama than they are Jalen won't be.Interesting timing. I figured he would wait until after the playoffs to make a decision on that. He's definitely made remarkable improvement, but he still needs to prove he can beat Texas. I hope no promises have been made about the starting job just yet. Let's see if we come away with a Championship first.
Good move for Bama and Milroe. If JM locks down quick decision-making and a consistent short-to-medium route passing game (which have both improved a lot this season) to add to his long ball and wheels he'll be nearly unstoppable if OL play holds up.
With a 2024 schedule like Bama's , I'm glad he's returning.
Lately, him getting sacked is primarily an artifact of him trying to extend plays and/or scramble. It’s really a big ask for him to be both decisive as a ball-carrier but also avoid sacks. There have been a few blitz pressures he failed to diagnose pre snap.he still has to learn to toss the ball away, avoid those devastating >10yd sacks
I don't expect to see them here.I kind of want to go back to the beginning of the season and see who wasn't feeling Milroe
He just needs to continue the trajectory he’s on. He doesn’t need to make incredible improvement. He just needs to get a little better in a several areas. He’s not miles away from what you are wanting him to be.Good move for Bama and Milroe. Dude…Hopefully it's about more than just winning the locker room. If he doesn't win a Championship this year, then a lot of the concerns we've had about him will come rushing back. If Texas does the same thing to him that they did last time, then I'm not sure he deserves to be the starter. We are just gonna have to see what happens in the playoffs. If he wins it, then he obviously deserves to be the starter, but there's still work to be done
I’m still here, and he’s still a below average distributor of the ball to the talented playmakers around him. He’s inaccurate on the mid range throws, late on them as well. He also has a tendency to lock on to favorites and throw into dangerous coverage. He has yet to show he can consistently go through his progressions to the checkdowns. His intern clock is off and he refuses to avoid sacks by throwing the ball away.I kind of want to go back to the beginning of the season and see who wasn't feeling Milroe
So, he had one really bad game against Texas. Made a few mistakes in a few other games, but did well overall. Has he improved? Absolutely, more than any Alabama player at any position in recent memory. Does the team believe in him? Obviously they do, as does the coaching staff.
Just because people didn’t “feel” Milroe means the critiques of his play were incorrect. It also doesn’t mean people hope he fails, because that means the team fails as well.
Milroe coming back is the most beneficial decision for both parties involved: Milroe needs the teaching, and Alabama needs a veteran presence to navigate next year’s schedule.
To be fair he’s had pedestrian outings against teams on that list up there, except LSU.So, he had one really bad game against Texas. Made a few mistakes in a few other games, but did well overall. He's winning games.
We must have seen different games. To be fair he’s had pedestrian outings against teams on that list up there, except LSU.
Dude…Bama fans are so spoiled. I hope we win it all as much as anybody..but does anyone consider Blame Sims season a failure? SEC champions, and a playoff loss to the eventual NC Ohio St.?Interesting timing. I figured he would wait until after the playoffs to make a decision on that. He's definitely made remarkable improvement, but he still needs to prove he can beat Texas. I hope no promises have been made about the starting job just yet. JM is projected as the #15 overall pick in the 2025 draft. He just won the SEC Championship. JM will two-peat at Bama.Hopefully it's about more than just winning the locker room.
