Early I think it said Ron did play. How did he look? Was he still limping or did he play like the old Ron?

To tell you the truth, I don't think he played but the first minute and a half. It may have been a couple of minutes, but he didn't really do much. Passed the ball around was about it. Said his ankle was still bothering him.

Thanks for the updates. Good win over a pretty good team. Bama could be pretty scary when Steele is 100%.

By the way, how is RS?
I tell you what, if Southern Miss had a couple more of their layups at the beginning of the ballgame fall, it would have been a lot more interesting game. It seems like they missed about ten layups to start the game. Great effort on their part though. Tough team.

Justin Tubbs is coming on - This was a good win - Southern Miss does not go away

I don't think we can count on Ronald Steele - I am not implying anything negative about him just think his injuries will hamper him all year

Someone at Bama is doing some really good recruiting. I am pleased with this team and although I say this almost every year: I don't see us having better talent than we have right now

Thanks Duke, for the update on RS. BTW, how did Jemison look?
Demetrius Jemison- Huffman High School.

He logged 17 minutes of playing time. Went 0-1 from the field. 2-2 at the free throw line. Got 1 block shot and 2 defensive rebounds. He did a pretty good job on the defensive side of the ball covering his guy. As far as offense, Davidson-25, Gee-20, Hendrix-11, and Tubbs-10 pts, were the main contributors for the night.

Player of the Game: Jermareo Davidson: 25 pts, 11 rebounds, and 9 block shots. 9 for 12 from the free throw line and threw in 1 assist as well.

Ron Steele: Logged in just 4 minutes of play and 1 defensive rebound.

Ugliest stat: Alabama TO's-18......Southern Miss-8

Alabama now owns a 19-5 edge in the all-time series with Southern Miss.

Side note: Game attendance: 10,041

Thanks Duke. Has the knee gone away? or was the ankle hurting worse I wonder.
According to comments by Gottfried after the game it looks like the knee is still the main concern. Steele said the pain in his knee was "too much" to handle.

I doubt he'll play a lot of minutes against NC State.
