Great effort in the first half. Halftime adjustments always worry me. Hopefully, Bama will continue to be physical and focused in the second half. A win today saves me a lot of grief here in TN!

They need to be able to handle the pressure of the first 5-8 minutes. It's coming, full court.........I hope they can!

They definitely need to keep fighting in the second half. CPP
does not need to take off either, call TO when you see
things start changing for the worse.

I'm here as well, just watching the game on the big screen away from the computer. It's amazing that we are up at half with the horrible shots Gee, Hillman and Torrance took. I counted five, wild airballs that had no chance at going in. I'm glad PP plays Andrew Steele more than MG. The charge they called on him was terrible. We seriously need an "inbounds play coach" to teach our staff and players how to properly throw the ball inbounds. We stand around and let players guard us. No movement, no screens, no imagination. With that being said, our defense has been good, except for help side on drives. That is still pathetic at best. If we win this one, we get Vandy in the 1st round and I would love another shot at those guys. Keep it up Bama.

Yeah, if Bama wins today they will get a rematch with Vandy in the first round. Vandy is HOT right now, so a win would be great against them. Then I could live without any grief here locally.

With all said......if we can pull this off, having won 4 of 5, and the two games before that were nailbiters......if we could have avoided the 8 minutes of Gee and Hillman reverting back to "me" basketball, we'd have won the Auburn game too. We have a legit shot rolling into the tourney, especially since we are one of the deepest teams in the league

Agreed on everything McLovin said. I always enjoy reading his posts as they are insightful and very basketball technical.

Hillman can/will be a beast. Someone just needs to teach him shot selection. It's like someone has transplanted James Robinson's brain in his head. The problem is Robinson could hit any shot he decided to take, and Hillman cannot.

With everything said. I do see a difference between
CMG and CPP in coaching style. And how many years
they were together? I just do not understand.

Agree completely. In your earlier post you talked about them going press out of the half, and you are exactly right. I hope we space correctly and throw over the top to advance the ball.

I'm trying to temper my enthusiasm about the tournament as its hard to go 4 in a row, but this team is looking better and better!!

The charge call on Steele in the first half was one of the worst calls I've seen in college basketball this whole year. Did anyone else see that? Referees are ruining the game with bogus calls like that. They love calling the charge....even when it's not there.
