Low scoring slobber knocker
I guarantee you that at least one bad call will go UT's way, and I also guarantee that UT will make an alleged 'clean hit' on one of Bama's skill players. In '99, it was two shots below the knee--one on Shaun Alexander, the other on Andrew Zow. In 2001, it was two repeated attempts to injure Tyler Watts, one clear shot to the upper body on a pass play; and a few plays later UT gets flagged 15 yards for a late hit on Tyler. In 2002, it was a late hit out of bounds on Santonio Beard. We all know what happened last year...
It'll be a low scoring, physical affair and I think Bama comes out on top this time. Why? because of rushing play execution, flawless special teams and one defensive TD. Pennington doesn't need 100+ throwing the ball. As long as he hits receivers in key second and third down situations, we'll move the chains and let our hosses up front control the line of scrimmage.
