All NIL should go to buying O-Line

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

It just seems there is a darth of OL coaching talent nowadays. There only a handful of coaches who are actually good at it.

Shula got fired as OC largely because the USCe OL was utterly pathetic. You cant run much of any offense behind a line like that.

I not sure that would be where I spent the money. I see a lot of holes in how we scheme the running game. Also in how the linemen are taught to block (mechanics). I sometimes see echoes of bucket step Bob. We can always use a great tackle or guard, but a new line coach may be the wiser investment

Not that I have given a dime, but if I knew for sure it would go to buying an O-Line, I would send in $5.76
It is strange. Bama recruits well-regarded o-linemen out of high school. Bama has an o-line coach that is well regarded. Despite that, 1+1 seems to equal -5. And this stretches back to the Saban Era, so coaches and scheme have changed, but still good o-linemen seem to massively underachieve.

Our linemen have been getting pushed around since Cochran left.

Rhea/Ballou cut down on injuries, sure, but our big guys lost the ability to impose their will.

S&C definitely need to be looked at.

I'd take tackles. Period. We can do more with the guys we have and plenty of them can play guard or center.

Yea, I will leave that to the HC. If I am paying I'd rather it go to Jimmies and Joes that have the raw talent. Bucket step Bob may screw them up but any other coach worth his salt can coach NFL level talent.

I got a great idea. To help with getting the O line some NIL money, let's bring back LANK.

I'll see myself out the door.
I see kids doing that stupid index finger-middle finger "L" for "LANK" and it strikes me the same way it would if French soldiers had a recruiting poster that said, "Woo-hoo 1940, baby!"
LANK was from the darkest days in Alabama football history since 2006.
