Was curious if any of you all read the Nero Wolfe Mystery series by author Rex Stout because on April 22nd, on A&E Television, a new mini series is going to begin on Nero Wolfe novels starring Timothy Hutton as Archie Goodwin.
Well, I hate to admit this, but I have never read any of the Nero Wolfe books, although I love mysteries. Thanks for the tip about
A&E. I'll try to check it out.
Tell me a particular one to start with, that you like, and I'll put it on my mental list of things to read.
LTBF, Rex Stout wrote 72 Nero Wolfe Novels starting in 1934 and his last Wolfe novel was published in 1975, two months before Stout's death. My favorite was: Murder by the Book published in 1952. Nero Wolfe is an ecentric private detective who rarely leaves his home. He has assistant pivate eyes, like the character known as Archie Goodwin, who go out and investigate and bring the information back to Wolfe to solve the mystery. I got interested in Nero Wolfe when I was stationed overseas four years ago and found a Nero Wolfe novel in the ship's library and got hooked from then on.
Thanks, I'll look up ole Rex Stout and see how I like his books. I do like a good mystery. When I was only a child, practically, I read all the Agatha Christy novels. I appreciate the tip!
