I just ordered my tickets for the concert in Chicago at the United Center. It will be my 3rd show. I saw them 2 and 3 years ago and they still got it. Very good live.

Just curious if there were any other fans out there. Favorite songs? Albums?

:)

I am a 70's rock junkie. While I didn't follow Rush back then I have a large respect for their talent. I enjoy their energy. They are all very good musicians...very tight sound. I would go see them if they were in the area.

My first Rush album was All the worlds a stage which was a great live lp.

Saw them in 1981 Moving Pictures tour and they were great.

Favorite albums:
All the worlds a stage
Farewell to kings
Hemispheres
Signals
Grace under pressure
Power windows
Hold your fire
Roll the bones

While not a big Rush fan, I did always like "Spirit of Radio"
I got ya. Many of my friends find it difficult to like the majority of Rush's music because of the singing. Some of the songs they seem to all like, however, is Spirit of Radio and the other "usual suspects:"

Tom Sawyer
Limelight
Working Man

And one of my personal favs: "Yyz" - this from 2006 in Rio:

LCN: Good video - that is easily one of my favorites. If you like that song, check out "The Main Monkey Business" off Snakes & Arrows.

Before she was mrs. exiled, mrs. exiled & I saw Rush in Mobile on the Moving Pictures tour. Incredible show. Neil Peart on drums was worth the price of admission all by himself. And he wasn't all by himself...;)

I like their stuff up through the early 80s (Signals-ish). To me, the earlier vintage Rush is better than the later vintage. 2112 is an all-time fave, as is Moving Pictures.

My favorite Rush song that nobody's heard of would be "Witchhunt" from Moving Pictures. Right up there on my Rush fave list is "The Trees" from Hemispheres, I believe. Let's all sing along now: "they passed a noble law...and the trees are now made equal by hatchet, axe and saw..." And of course, "Spirit of Radio" is great, as is "Temple of Syrinx" from 2112. (approximate name there)

Witchhunt is fantastic!

That was actually on the setlists for last year's tour.

Oh, yes! As a drummer, I believe Neil Peart is undoubtably one of the greatest percussionists of all time. Add Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson - man, one of the finest group of musicians I have ever heard/seen.

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice"

Pretty cool stuff here:

Wouldn't say I'm a "huge" fan, but I really like some of their stuff. Saw them in Charlotte last year...great show! Love the sound Alex gets from those Hughes & Kettner amps! Always thought Alex Lifeson was a very under-rated guitar player. Favorite songs are "Red Barchetta" and "Limelight", favorite albums are "Caress of Steel" and "Exit Stage Left". Also love "R30".
