I don't know if it'd be on the spot commitments, but there are several guys out there who look like they could be close to committing to Bama (like William Green or Barrett Jones). I haven't heard much about either in a while, but I take that as a good thing.

I don't think many people expected Alabama to win this game at the start of the year. If Alabama wins, I do think it would help Alabama grab the attention of some guys that might be in the fence or even not strongly considering Alabama. It's a home game, it's early enough in the season for people to not have made their mind up and it is against a team that recruits like a lot.

If Bama can win this game it will send out a strong signal that Bama is way ahead of the curve. Bama is one year removed from the year the sanctions hit the hardest, still short on talent and depth but already competitive with top SEC teams (we were actually competitive the last 2 years but didn't have the intensity, depth and execution to pull out the W).

Regardless if we win Saturday, the recruits can see that within a couple years Bama will be like a runaway train on the gridiron. A win will just be icing on the cake and make things a lot sweeter!

Another win and another Notre Dame loss and we can probably go and pillage their committments! Maybe Tennessee's as well. Don't think Auburn has any current commits we would want. We would already be done with recruiting if we wanted any of the barn type players. Only top notch 4 star or better from here on out for Saban!
