Tennessee looking stupid against a team they were blowing out in the first half. Its gonna be impressive if Butler can beat Notre Dame, Indiana, and Tennessee in the same tournament, after trailing seriously in all 3 games and having to come back. 38-34 Butler with 12 minutes left. So much good basketball in the next week. Gonzaga and North Carolina tonight, Georgia Tech and UCLA, Florida and Kansas this weekend, Ohio State and North Carolina next week. I think everyone has a toughhh preseason schedule but us. Could be good or bad for us.

I think our preconference schedule is very respectable. Xavier will most surely hang around the top 25 and will be dancing in March. Iowa is always respectable and even though Oklahoma and NC State have new coaches, they are traditionally good teams. The thing is, I think it's a good schedule but not so tough we'll be worn out later in the year. The SEC is gonna be very competitive and this schedule will prepare us for it.

I would agree that our schedule is respectable. I was just comparing it to most of the other top teams schedules, in that, there are not a lot of very tough games. There are a lot of Florida vs. Kansas and LSU vs. Texas type games going around. I also think Notre Dame on the road could be a tough one. Like I said, I think it could be good or bad. It could allow us to get ready for the SEC and head in well rested and very tuned up. We won't be tested as tough as some teams will be, but I think you are right, that could be to our advantage. Every team in the SEC has a tough road. I think this team will compete for the SEC regular season regardless. I would love to see us go 14-0 headed into the SEC, which I think is very possible, but I can also see us faltering in a game somewhere. I do know however, that the start to the SEC season is gonna be huge, and very tough, with going on the road to Arkansas, and then coming home to play LSU for the SEC home opener. I hope we can come out firing in those two games, they will probably set the tone for the rest of the SEC schedule.
