As expected, Clowney picks USCe

Gabe Wright with his "Nick Who?" hat. Wow, thanks for making it easy for the rest of the country to hate you before you even step on campus.

Wright said himself that the "Nick Who?" was in regards to Nick Fairley, not CNS. Now whether or not that's the truth, is another story all together.

I assumed it was Nick Fairly he was talking about, since he'll be taking his position at AU, but I just thought it came off as extremely cocky.

That hat was meant to diss CNS but he got it as a shout out to Nick Fairley...I dont think he realizes what that hat actually means.

That's pretty much what I was alluding to. The meaning in this particular case is open for interpretation IMO.

we consider someone mediocre not in the since of a schools history we base this on your overall record and relevance in the conference which is indeed mediocre. win an SEC and NC and then your no longer mediocre.

If you are judging the football program as a whole, then I agree 100% with your analysis - relative to the upper tier schools in the SEC, USC's football program is extremely mediocre... but I think you misunderstood my posts. An individual season for a specific program should be judged based on the history of the program. A 9-5 season for USC is judged differently than a 9-5 season for Alabama by both fans and the media alike.

In the meantime while we waste our time debating the mediocrity of USC's football history , auburn is mysteriosuly racking up on recruits. How bad would it stink if JC went to the plains? Don't think that is a possibility, but the radio talk of him going to auburn jr. (clemson) is heating up here in Columbia.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Clowney at the Capstone..BUT if I'm him and staying in state, I'm heading to Clemson over USCe. Granted I know its the ACC over SEC, but look at the class Clemson signed.

Personally I feel that Clemson is a better school than USCe. They have more football tradition JMHO. But having said that. Not even close to the TIDE :)

The clemson class is a huge mystery here in SC. The press from clemson the past 3 months is fully indicative of a sinking ship. Complete coaching overhaul, Dabo can't coach his way out of a paper bag, starting qb half-.....ing it in last half of the season and openly feuding with Dabo in the media, RB inexplicably declaring for the draft when he wouldn't even start for most SEC teams, fans staying away from games in droves (thousands of empty seats for the USC-clemson "rivalry" game), etc. A team almost devoid of offense loses its top 2 offensive players, including leaving the tiggers with an unproven qb to put it politely (backup looked plain bad when he saw action this year). This is a team that has not won an ACC title, had a 10-win season, or played in a BCS-caliber bowl game in 2 decades. They looked more like the keystone cops than a college football offense much of the season. Either Dabo and company pulled off one of the great recruiting coups of all time, or there's something fishy going on in the Upstate of SC. If you think Chiz and auburn are selling koolaid, I can't imagine what clemson and Dabo are pawning to these kids. Dabo is known as a great recruiter, but he's selling refrigerators to eskimos and they are buying them up faster than he can unload them. Something gives IMO.

Let me clarify, I do not know of any cheating (though the history is there), I just can't see what is luring these kids to Pickens County, SC... and now Clowney is giving them a hard look.

I could see if Clemson doesn't produce either this year or next year, they will release him and we could pick up Dabo to replace Kirby Smart or Jim McElwain when they get HC offers they want. Dabo would be a great recruiting coordinator as well as an assistant coach as well

Dabo is an offensive coach i believe, and I wouldnt be too thrilled if he were kirbys replacement.

Jadeveon is a class act and I wish him well. I cant wait to follow this guy wherever he goes, I just hope it's to Bama.
" I aint in to them (The Barn) " Clowney...... Smart kid
