JessN: Assistant coach hiring tracker...

These hires don't need to be splash hires (it's not about the PC) they need to be good hires.

The more I hear about Womack the more I like to hire. Maybe he has a few players that can play, he might might be able to bring with him especially at DB.
I just looked, and it appears most of the players worth getting have already transferred.

It could go as smoothly as the transition from Bowder to Jimbo. I see that one as being the best examples.
That was going swell for a while. But 10 tumultuous years after a BCS Title, FSU finally seems to have the right guy. Jimbo got himself fired and the school has had Haggins twice (he's still there on staff still, just in case), Taggart once and now Norvell.

One of the problems with the whole coach in waiting thing is that NCAA regs state that such employees are counted against the limit on recruiting staff.

Jimbo won a title at FSU. That didn't play out well by the end but the result was a Heisman and a title.
Yep. Was it worth it? I think most Bama fans would decline that trade. After Jimbo's blind luck with Jameis, that program suffered greatly until Norvell (a guy I would have liked to seen in Crimson).

Between that and most of the starters exhausting their eligibility, there won't be anybody left...
Oh, they have some underclassmen on that team that can play. And in my scenario a certainly LSU head coach moves up north which opens up his players to leave as well. Dominos man.
