Re: Greg Reid set for Georgia visit

Thank you, I have a list written out right here in front of my moniter of all the prospects to watch for on Nick Saban Day, and I also listed the battles of ones that we were fighting for, I must have gotten mixed up somewhere... How is Myles looking?

We'll see... fingers crossed right now.

We look good for him, the LSU people don't think they will get him, and idiots like Newberg suddenly think he is Tennessee bound.

I think we'll get him, but it's not a done deal yet.

Yeah, anyone who reads GR's comments about the UGA visit might think twice about Georgia's chances. He talks about hanging out with friends, including a best friend who is already committed to UGA.

I know recruiting depends on a lot of things, but the kid is from Georgia and his friends are all going to UGA. That has to tug on him.

Athens is on the opposite side of the state as Valdosta. Its about 4 hours. Tallahassee is only about 90 minutes and I think that is what is the deciding factor right now. But it is always good to get the last visit so UGA might be able to pull it off.

Having read his reports, I can bet this kid will be a signing day decision

Deep down, I think he is headed to FSU :mad2:

If we signed Dre Kirkpatrick AND Greg Reid.. I dont know what I would do. That would be insane. Obviously we do not have a huge shot at him, but Saban has made him have second thoughts. I wish we would have gotten on him earlier.

If he's between Alabama and Georgia, it will be insane either way he goes. Play with Dre Kirkpatrick or Branden Smith? Of course, I think Florida State is the biggest competition in his case.

Reid is back from his official visit to Georgia, and he is being extremely tight-lipped. He really wouldn't even divulge the slightest information one way or the other, because he doesn't want to tip his hand.

He'll announce Tuesday night at 7:00, so we'll find out then.

I think his top three are UGA, Bama, and FSU. I expect it will come down to either UGA or Bama. It won't be long until we find out.

Really, no FSU?

I'd like for that to be the case, because if the 'Noles aren't in it I imagine that our chances go up dramatically. I'm still expecting him to end up FSU though.

I saw on some board earlier where they were saying the visit to UGA was not great and was only ok for Greg! I was thinking it would be Bama vs. FSU for his signature, either way it goes I really think Bama is going to get him!

The general theme on the BOL message boards is it comes down to UGA and us, with UA gaining 5-star CB on Tuesday.

There was a poster over on BOL (not sure how reliable, but...) that mentioned Reid told people on his visit to UGA this weekend that it was down to UGA and Bama and that FSU has been eliminated for him. Now, that may be a complete croc of BS...but something to chew on nonetheless.

I have a good feeling about Reid for some reason...
