The general consensus certainly seems to be that Allen will commit to Alabama sometime this weekend. I wouldn't necessarily be shocked if that didn't happen -- I honestly expected him nine months ago and we're still sitting here waiting -- but either way it does seem pretty clear that the Tide is the team to beat for his services.
As I've said many times over the past several weeks, it's not a matter of if with Allen, but when. Hopefully it's this weekend, but even if not I still believe we get him.
