It's embarressing that someone acting like a Bama fan would ask if we are going to have 83-85k in a 101+k stadium on opening day when everybody and his momma is predicting we get to the BSCCG this year. No way it's not full at the start of the game.

Like others have said, there's more reason to stay and watch because Bama's QB situation/competition will be on full display well into the fourth quarter even though it will be a blowout.

This thread not only needs to be closed, it needs to be deleted!

Guys, I know why this person is suggesting that BDS is about 80% full... That's the usual percentage for Jordan-Hare. He must have thought the same was Alabama.

I can guarantee you will see more fingers in the air than tickets outside the stadium.

1) First major sporting even after 4/27 storms
2) We're ranked #2 in the nation
3) We're playing new QBs
4) Our defense is going to be fun to watch
5) This is an easy game to go to due to people being able to get back home before midnight
6) It's dadgum Alabama football!

Now...where you will see a drop-ff in attendance is the Quad. I have a feeling there will be far less people tailgating due to it being an early game (travelers won't want to get up at the crack of dawn if they can watch the game on TV) and it will be very hot. So, I think that the stadium will be packed, but the Quad and other campus areas will be a lot less crowded than they will be for the Arkansas game later in September.

You beat me to it! I feel like the stadium will be at capacity, but the quad won't be as full as we are used to. I'll be there! Heck, I'm so excited, I came to the Women's Soccer game this past Sunday... Just to be on campus at a Crimson Tide sporting event!!! Roll TIDE!

I'm thinking more like a full house, anything else will be unacceptable. Let's send them off to Happy Valley with an awesome showing.

Anyone looking for tickets (2) please contact me. I've posted them on the ticket thread, but for some reason it seems not many ppl look there. Staci/Mods, I know this isn't the place for it, but I really don't want to waste the tkts and we can't go. I'm almost to the point of giving them away.
You have a PM. :)

I think you will see about 5-10k open seats at kickoff 3-5k by the end of the first.

I think it will be full capacity at kick off. Actually I'm sure of that. And I actually think no one will really start leaving until about the third quarter. I think most people will want to see whoever the second QB in is and how they do. I know I'll be watching the whole thing!

If my son didn't have his first football game EVER on Saturday, we would definitely be there!

Can someone clarify the TV viewing possibilities? I thought it was PPV but the grouchy OP said "no fee free TV" or something if the sort. Thanks and RTR!!

The stadium will be full and the crowd will hang around longer than most think. The qb battle is too interesting this year. Plus we have some great young talent at receiver that will be fun to watch.

The SEC Network is who will be carrying the game...so that will be a local channel wherever you are. In Birmingham that is 21.

I apologize for the link that goes to a UT site...but it's the best one I have found so far.
