From the aubie boards..

I will always remember 2009 as. . . .

-------------------------------------------

the season college football jumped the shark.

From the wrist slap of SPUAT for violations made while on probation while being called a SRV. . .

to the baised officiating awarding the SEC division titles in October. . .

to the miracle SPUAT drive against AU which included three illegal pick plays, a chop block, and unlimited offensive holding. . . .

to the awarding of the best player in football to a guy that was not awarded the best player at his position.

College football is closer to WWF than a sport.

This season has been a sad joke.
They are a sad lot.

The jealousy and envy the Barners have for our program is beyond belief. I looked at their message board and there must be 30 threads about Mark winning the Heisman.

Its just hilarious. They are really pathetic whining little girls who spend way more time discussing Alabama football than Barn football.

Of course i guess when all you have to talk about is whether you are still in the running with Troy for a 3 star recruit its best to just spew bile about the team that OWNS you from now on.

Those people are just eaten up with jealousy and their inferiority complex is monstrous.

When I want all the latest Alabama football news I go to barner sites. They are always on top of the latest Bama football news and are the leaders in reporting all of the big stories in Tuscaloosa. Amazing how they find time to be the leader in Bama news considering they have another team they're supposed to report on first :rolleye2:

Please remember and be sure to remind each and every Auburn alum or fan of the fact that they have accomplished something we never have, and we as Alabama can NEVER accomplish.

They celebrated the 50th anniversary of their one and only National Championship. war tiger, or go bird or something. (Just flow with it, their spoken language is not their strong suit.)

I went over to aunation and most of those folks were decent towards Mark. That bunch at ITAT is the sorriest excuses for human beings ever. They are by far the most classless people in the world.

My goodness........

Sounds like next time I make it back home, I may hear something other than "Punt, 'Bama, punt!" as their favorite taunt.

But maybe not: it was my Senior year. Funny how they never seem to forget that.

For the record, I don't hate them, I just wish they would shut up, And not one of them can show where I taunted them. Can't say the same in return. They must be putting something in the water down there for them to harbor such resentment and bitterness.

There are some terribly pathetic peddlers of irrational hate in that fanbase. It's somewhat understandable (although still sad) when people fester hate over political issues or social issues because those truly have a huge effect upon our lives. However, football is a game and is supposed to be an affirmative activity for people. It is sold as a way for participants to learn teamwork, sportsmanship and self-motivation.

Some people however have placed an unhealthy emphasis on winning at any cost. When fans are conspiring to destroy athletes' eligibility, supporting attempts to injure them and belittling their hard-earned achievements just for the sake of victories in which the fans have only a illegitimate interest, it seems that they have lost sight of the spirit of athletics. Is a victory really still a victory to the victor if the spoils are spoiled?

Unfortunately, I don't think that the general fanbase recognizes just how irrational some of their number truly are. There are some irrational fans in the Alabama fanbase, but they seem more targeted at the Auburn fanbase than the institution itself. Some of the Auburn fanbase seems completely willing to destroy the futures of student-athletes and do damage to the academic institution itself for the sake of wins on the football field. It is likely that this will end badly for both universities if someone doesn't step in and exert some control over the situation. It's like a mutually-assured destruction scenario and both schools could end up destroying each other.

That should be their motto.
How else do you become a Auburn fan?

Sure some might come by it honestly, but it's kind of like all the Yankee haters out there. If a team does well enough some people will start cheering against them rather than for another team. I'm sure a large portion of Auburn fans are just Auburn fans because they hate Alabama. There's a certain element of self-loathing involved in being a Auburn fan. Hate the state? Hate winning? Hate excellence? Cheer for Auburn...

The most cringe worthy thing I saw tonight was "2-1" as in their 2 Heismans to our now 1.

You would think even a barner wouldn't be ignorant enough to open themselves to a rebuttal of "12-1" and "22 - a number just above Georgia Tech's total".
well you can always say..."very true auburn but at least the last time alabama had a Heisman winner it wasn't during the Regan administration."

I post on aunation a lot and most of those guys give him congrats. Any one of the finalist could have gotten the award and I wouldn't have griped. All of them were deserving. Mark Ingram showed a lot of class and represented the university very well.

But it wasn't even AU at the time was it? It was some polytech school right? So really AU has never won an NC?:biggrin2: Those silly boogs!

I love it...they said, "Ingram ain't gonna win the Heisman on us", and he won it anyway. All their focus on him and they lost the game...joyous.
Not only did we win the SEC, we gave CNS his first-ever win in JHS, and are now playing for the National Championship...something those Barn losers haven't done in 50 years.
That's pathetic...but, for me, it is as it should be.

I just do not understand!

Why do you folks go to their so-called sports boards anyway?

From the sound(s) of it, they are not speaking about football, or what a great recruit they got/are getting, what a great school or program they have, etc, etc...........they are just spewing hate and vile and viscious rumors, lies and inuendos.

If I want to be insulted I will drive on a crowded freeway and get flipped off by an irrate driver.

Please, try not to involve yourselves with people whose lives are filled with gossip and hate!

RTR, beat the Horns!

Congrats Mark~:BigA:

The more venomous they are, the more content I feel. Eventually, the younger generation of Boogs, that think of Tater Tot and Dubose as ancient history, will realize that the current situation is a correction, not an aberration. Explosive ignorance has got to be exhausting. At some point, apathy will set in.

The barners don't realize that their rants bout the BAMA program (fans, team, coaches, etc) are basically a roll call for the question of "who is jealous of BAMA?"
