Well the OL cannot run block well and if they do manage to open a hole, the starting RB cannot find it. The passing game has sputtered in the past three games, with the QB looking as if he might be hurt a bit. The kicker is a total head case with a horrible case of the yips. At least the defense has been playing well. I will not watch the game tomorrow. I do not have a good feeling at all.

I feel the same and had sworn to not watch the game as well. But as Saturday approaches, I’ve already accepted the fact I will be watching.

If AU is OU lite, then I feel pretty good about tomorrow:
  • Absent -3 TO margin and a missed field goal, we were 15 points better than OU.
  • away six points for home field , and that leaves us +9.
  • Be -1 or better in TO margin and, unless it’s Jaso n Autrey’s crew, Alabama should win a close one.
  • Even in TO margin and Alabama wins by 7-10
  • Alabama +1 or better in TO margin = 13 point Alabama wins or better

I like the way you think. As the week has progressed, I’ve been thinking more and more that we’re walking into an ambush. But when you break it down like that, it gives a little more confidence.

I can’t imagine a scenario where the boogs will be playing any looser, or with more aggressive abandon than this scenario. At home in their voodoo bowl, with very little to lose and the sole motivation being to dismantle our SEC and playoff run. We all know that they define their success through how they affect Alabama. They could turn their losing and embarrassing season into a successful one (by their definition) simply be winning that game.

Still though, I like your logic.

Very reasonable analysis. If our dense shuts Auburn down we win. If they can move the ball on us then it is a crap shoot. I hope our defense shows up and plays a great game and I think they may.

yeah, i'm not buying that auburn is some recently unleashed unstoppable juggernaut.

after they canned freeze, they lost to vandy, beat mercer, and had a bye week and we are supposed to think that this is suddenly a top tier team

The problem as I see

Depending on which version of Alabama shows up, they may not have to be a top tier team.

The offense has seemingly regressed since around the Tennessee game, although the defense seems to be improving all season long.

If we play our A game I don’t think Auburn has much of a chance, but if we bring our B game in their house we could be in serious trouble.

And let’s be serious, they’ve been game planning for us for weeks and weeks and we hardly know who is playing QB for them, much less what kind of offense they’ll be running.

our c-/d+ game nearly beat oklahoma and they are much better than auburn.

I hope we get the influence of Saban and DeBoer in this game.

This is the game I hope they can channel their inward Saban and just do their job and play one play at a time and not worry about the scoreboard.

I feel like if we do that, we win by 2 scores.

But, I think we also need the energy Deboer has been bringing in these big games. We sometimes start flat against AU trying not to get too hyped, but we really can't afford a slow start!

Start fast. Get a lead. Win going away! That would be good for our hearts/minds to win one in undramatic fashion finally!!!

Any clue who is officiating tonight?🤔

Auburn needs this win to be bowl eligible.
