Auburn TD pass in last minute

I remember not too long ago we would have been ecstatic to be a one loss team this late in the year. I still am. No team can play a whole schedule and not come out flat sometimes. I think CNS made the right call on trying for the field goal, we have enjoyed some very good kicking from Cade Foster this year and I'm proud of all he has done for Bama.

Well said. I agree.

What I am actually enjoying is everyone is talking about how we lost the game and not how the barners won it.

Bama was and still is the better team. Just not yesterday.

Bama is better, but not so much better that we can play B- football and win. Many on here thought Bama could win by simply getting off the bus, never giving Auburn any credit.

Yes, the officials missed some key calls. But at the same time, we had, at minimum, 4 instances in which all we had to do is make ONE play, and we most likely win the game. It's like we were in a tennis match and we had four match points, and then proceeded to blow all four.

We had our chances.

We lost.

End of story.

Cade Foster made that "one play" the only FG he hit was called back. I still haven't seen the lineman move.

I'm new here, but I never thought that. But Aubarn isn't a better team, I'm just always amazed at how lucky they can get. Just so unbelievably lucky at times. They get on these "momentum rolls" during certain seasons and they can be potentially dangerous if you don't beat them down.

I think he made an acceptable call also. If you look at statistics of going undefeated continuously, it just doesn't happen that often. For us to go through just two regular seasons, 2008 & 2009 undefeated, was the first time that's happened in the SEC in a LONG time. Again, when you're #1, and you're a school with a history of winning, you're everyone's target. You'll get everyone's best game. Motivation will rarely be an issue with your opponent, and much of sports performance is rooted in motivation.

CNS does his best on motivation, but there's no perfect system. These are just kids in school and if you can produce a record like CNS has over the past 6 years, then you're doing something right. It can't ever be perfect, folks. Yes, in a perfect, just world, the cheaters of Aubarn would lose every game, but this world ain't perfect.
