How long before you think Jeffrey Lee has to either post a retraction, or get on the radio and tell everyone that it's not true in order to keep from losing his butt in a defamation suit?

The real red flag to me would be how Auburn convinced the kid to decommit in the first place.

Retractions don't go to anything other than damages. In a case like this, they mean practically nothing, since the damage is done. BTW, good luck to their lawyers in trying to paint Peaches as a "public figure...

Earl, I'm not trying to be obtuse here but you mean Lee's attorney's trying to say that Peaches is a "public figure" and as such, Lee can say pretty much whatever he wants about the man?

I was wondering just how long it would be before this happened. Actually longer than I thought. The story isn't very original. Some of it sounds like things I've read of late on AU with the name and places changed.

As much as we want the barn to get hammered like yesterday watching them twist, deny and spin is just funny. Very few are enjoying they first NC since the last one they BOUGHT in 1957. When it hits it will a epic meltdown.

It appears that Sports By Brooks believes that Jeff Lee carefully constructed his statements in order to avoid being sued.

Because the very basis of Lee’s claim is - by design - false, it’s impossible to view the veracity of Lee’s allegations as anything but, at least for now, pure [strike]garbage[/strike] dubious.
