Austin Mack is returning to Alabama for 2026

The upside is that he’s been in CKD system for three years. The downside is that he hasn’t seen the field much in those three years. Question is how much will Keelon develop between now and the end of August?
Ty wasn't on field much either before he started. May the battle begin. And God help us with 1,464,345 posts about them between now and August.

I do not know because I have not seen much of Keelon playing. I hear he is quite talented. I expect (and hope for) a fierce competituion between them in spring and especially next summer.

Im glad to see him coming back, he knows the offense, id love to see what he can do with 1st yeam reps & not be thrown into the fire like he was, in a winless situation, against Indiana this year..

“Re-signs?” College football is such a joke these days. I notice they don’t bother even mentioning player’s majors or GPAs anymore. I hate everything about it.
Me too. I un-followed someone on social media whom I’ve followed for years after about the fifth “re-signed” update. I guess it’s supposed to be a good thing, but part of me is like, “I don’t need a celebration post every time a player decides to honor his scholarship.” I refuse to let that be “news” in my world.

The sad thing is we either get on board, or get left behind. We are clearly being left behind portal-wise. Recruiting is still good. I wonder why that is?

Less competition in HS recruiting now. Now they let us sign them, work with them for a year or two, and then swoop in and give them a big deal to transfer when they're ready to contribute.

It'll be a couple years to figure it all of this out but could turn out that emphasis on HS recruiting will end up killing your program. Too many resources consumed recruiting and coaching players just to see them take their talents elsewhere. Those teams that find the right balance will do well and finding the right balance each year will be a total crap shoot.

Everthing that made college football great is rapidly coming to an end.

Wow, you make an excellent point. Sad, but seemingly 100% on point.
