I love the M-series BMWs.
May be hard to tell in the photo, but the M3 got scraped in the left rear quarter panel a couple of weeks ago. It also broke the taillight assembly. It’ll get fixed in the next couple of weeks. But yeah, this is the last of the what I consider the real M cars. There’s a reason I’m holding on to this one

Yeah, I prefer the older M-Series. Outside of the M-Series, I also prefer the old 3-Series as well. The new ones look more like the old 5-Series. They now have a 2-Series that looks like the old 3-Series. Do not like the 1-Series at all.

The E9x was the last 3 series M to have a bespoke engine. The V8 in this car was not offered in any other BMW. Starting with the F8x turbo 6, that was not the case. The E9x was also the last series to have hydraulic steering and no turbos. It’s a dinosaur, very analog , and that’s why I love it

I don't want to spend the money on a true M car, especially with the rough ride irritating my back issues. So, I got a m235i years ago, just sold it, and just got a m240i recently. It took 5 months to build, and then I did the race track experience at the BMW performance center in South Carolina. It was fun, but some of the things they want you to do is scary!

I’ve always done the performance center delivery. It is a very cool way to take delivery of your new vehicle. The best part of it is you’re out there ragging on their cars, not yours! Riding along with their pros on the hot laps is a wild experience. It’s hard to believe the amount of control they have. Love the 2 series, and your 240 is probably faster than my M3.

I’ve had 9 BMWs over the last 20 or so years and this one is my first and probably last true M car. They’re toys and aren’t much good as daily drivers unless you like to feel every ant you run over.

This was my first time to do the performance center delivery. I thought the overall experience was good, including the hotel, food, and the tour/driving at the Performance center. My first BMW, the 235i, was delivered there too but my husband went to get it because I could not get off work. He raved about the whole experience. We were able to sell the 235i within 2 weeks. I like the 2 series ( 2 door ) but if I ever need a 4 door, I'd probably look at the 3 series or 4 series.

Jeff was in touch with something other worldly when he played and was in a league of his own. On the 'Truth' album Jeff and Rod Stewart set the bar for the next 50 years of rock & roll. Beyond sad to lose him from this world, but he left us the gift of his music forever. RIP my friend. Deep condolences to Sandra, family, friends and fans. - Paul Rodgers

One of my favorite times of year. Tennis season AND Racing season have started. I have always loved the Daytona 24. Have made it to the race two or three times through the years including a trip with my young son. If you haven't been, seeing three prototypes abreast about 12" apart come by at 220 in the pouring rain at 2:00 am is a sight you will never forget. I have come to like endurance racing as well as or better than F1. Would love to get to Paris one year for the Big One. This Porsche is going to make some noise in IMSA. The top class is doing much better than it has for awhile. Thanks Bazza!

Edit: I apologize for drifting into the fringes of a "sports" chat. Got carried away. Might start a Daytona thread in PRO forum.
