So what you’re saying is, is that in the end it will be Bama, Clemson, OU and some random 4th team chosen from:

a 7-0 tOSU, UT, UGA, LSU, or a 5-0 USCw?

I like to hate on "the conference that can't count" as much as the next guy. But I think an UNBEATEN champ would be in and justified.

I am guessing the Mountain West Conference still will not play. Hawaii would be a problem.

I'm sure you're better versed on it than I am, but I did see where Hawaii figures they can open the state again on October 15 with "you have a negative test" restrictions.

This is what I found. Mountain West

Not sure why Air Force would sit out too. If Army and Navy are playing, I don't see why Air Force would sit out.
Maybe I'm dumb here, but I would think the trip to Hawaii itself wouldn't necessarily be so bad or even expose folks. "Hey, you fellas stay in your hotel," fly them in the day before the game, play the game, fly home. Cut out the usual "hey, this is Hawaii" tour.

There shouldn't be much Covid in ANY of the hotels since their tourism industry has been dead for months.

Better yet, put them in a billet at Pearl Harbor-Hickam AFB (2.2 miles away).

Football travel is possible again, beginning on 10/15.

Hawaii Gov. David Ige said Wednesday that starting Oct. 15, travelers arriving from out of state may bypass a 14-day quarantine requirement if they test negative for COVID-19.

Travelers will have to take the test within 72 hours before their flight arrives in the islands.

This is what I meant by Hawaii is a problem. They weren't allowing people on the island with quarantining. If they lift the travel ban then that changes things. The Hawaii football team may still sit it out while the other teams still play.

Yeah, I got that text yesterday since I'm at least toying with the idea of going again.
I probably won't but I've scheduled two weeks off in November to psych recover from this year.

Hawaii was a very nice, very expensive place to visit. One day I will return. Well I never was on the island of Hawaii. I was on Oahu and Maui. Maybe I should visit Hawaii too?
