Can we all PLEASE petition the Alabama state alum assn to change our design to something like the state of Georgia has? Our "new" design (the script white "A" on the left sided crimson "bulge") is downright ugly...if you all will look at how classy the state of Georgia tag looks I think most will agree it is much much better...

I've had my TN plate for years. My first plate was 0065500. However, I'm surprised to learn the additional funds stay in TN. I thought they were sent to the school. Oh, silly me, why would TN send funds to their rivals?

I don't understand why Florida doesn't offer a license plate for UA fans. Lots of Bama fans down here where I live.

It's not UA they are trying to keep out. It is UGA. As far as I can determine, they do not allow applications for out of state schools. If so, that is aimed squarely at UGA.

I would prefer a red script A on the GA tag. The athletic logo is too small. If it were not for my pewter athletic logo trailer hitch, I don't think anyone would know what my tag represented. And I am about ready to put my athletic logo wheel cover back on. That will really let them know!

I have had my GA on for a while. they all say RT xxxx with xxxx the sequential number they were issue. Mine is RT 2220. Look good.

I am trying to get some interest here in Kentucky. Maybe the alumni chapters could start a campaign, I think that would be the best way.I don't belong to any,but maybe somebody out there does and can get the ball rolling. I certainly would get one if it becomes available , and would be a willing signature in favor of an application ,we'll probably need 4 or 5 hundred.Knowing Kentucky,maybe more! :BigA: :BigA:

Our alumni association here in Texas was the groupl that coordinated the effort. Its not an easy process from what I understand. Its nice to have the opportunity to show your support for your university through your tag when you're away from home.

We were in the intial 1000 to petition for the GA tags. Ours were RT839 & 840. I wasn't too crazy about the GA tage either becuase unless you're a fan you can't really tell what it is, TOO SMALL!! We just moved back to "SWEET HOME ALABAMA" a month ago and are in the process of getting the new UA tags. I'm not fond of them either, but it does say "ROLL TIDE ROLL" so I LOVE that part!!

To those in states that don't yet have them available the best way is to get the Alumni Assoc to start the petition. In GA they had to have 1000 PAID orders in advance before the state would make them.
