That's who I'd pick on the roster who is as close to Jefferson as "we" have. I would also use him on the scout team if I thought the game was,,, well,,, IMPORTANT ENOUGH!!!!!

I totally agree, but that doesn't account for the sportscaster's public comment that AJ was second on the depth chart...unless he's just an idiot, which is very possible (and he is the SD for the station).
They had a post about this on BOL and atleast 2 posters who others said were very creditable said AJ was #2 QB. They said CNS had a team meeting and announced it to players. Now they said that the only way he would see the field was if GMac got hurt badly and wouldn't see anymore action for atleast that game or the rest of the season. I started to post it but decided that it would fall into the rumor catagory and therefore decided against it. One person on BOL even claimed to hear the info from AJ's dad, now take that for what it is worth.
I agree. My thought - there really isn't any such thing as QB depth during a MNC run in college football. If we lose GMac, the run is essentially over.
AJ's dad has been "reported" to have said a lot of things...and I am not dissing the guy, don't even know him...but I only posted it because it was broadcast on the NBC local news affiliate last night, and I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what was happening.
I live in Mobile, and the "AJ's dad" preseason rumor was that AJ would be starting before week 8.

I didn't really post it as a "who's right or wrong" thing; once I heard it on the news, foolish me thought it had some legs from somewhere. I simply couldn't believe Star would get bypassed, if the worst happened.
GMAC will be fine; he will have an even better week than last week.
i'll get flamed for this but the need to make SJ a "slash" to get him on the field. he is Not a starting qb for this offense. JMO
He would need to hit a few cords of "November Rain" before we could make him "Slash".

I agree and that is why I said take it for what it's worth, but the 2 posters who said this weren't saying they got their info from AJ's dad. These guys had other posters talking about their credibilty. I went over to see if there were any other threads about this but didn't see any.
Exactly. He has the "wheels" to run if needed, but he's a pass first QB by nature.
