Misspell? :biggrin2:Typical Yankee girl - not anything to show off except her tats...
Nope! It wasn't me. I wasn't even there but my in-laws were and saw it first hand.Hey, Nan!
I've never personally heard of such.
it wasn't you was it??
Thank you for remembering and posting that John Forney put the incident in his book.I believe this was mentioned in a book written by John Forney. I'm not sure of the year. Early 60's?
I was at both games you mention. The UGA fans also rocked the players bus(s) back and forth. Real nasty crowd. After the Ole Miss game getting out of town with an Alabama tag wasn't easy. Those folks went on a riotous rampage after winning. Also of note about that game was it was one of the very last times an opposing team stayed in Athens overnight- The Tide stayed at the Ramada Inn and players had to sleep in the hallway- UGA students were yelling and throwing rocks at windows all Friday night. Now I think teams fly out immediately after and stay Friday night in Gwinnett.
Still, Bama was a TAD down that year and UGA was good- interestingly a mediocre Ole Miss squad beat BOTH TEAMS that year. Still can't understand that one.
