The guy who gives himself the title of "Dr." is pretty funny. I guess he got his degree from the same place as Dr. Lou.:rolleyes:

Some of the posters make sense and some say we are better than we are; and some like the Dr. think we are worse. Typical message board, no matter the fanbase. I had to stop reading after the Dr.'s third post b/c it was just totally worthless.

Bama is alot like them except we are bigger, faster, play better defense and offense, have a better punt returner, our QB isn't a glorified RB, went through the SEC undefeated, and made it to the BCSNC game. If you take out all those things I guess you can say we are alot like Ohio State

Don't buy into all that SEC speed hype.

Javier Arenas is a 5'8 corner that nobody in the SEC wanted except Mike Shula. He is not a Saban recruit, and he is not a good corner. He spends most of his time in the slot, blitzing. Which tells you how Saban feels about his coverage skills. If he was that good, Saban would keep him back defending. He is a great return guy, however.

People who say the Buckeyes have no speed, need to look no further than the NFL, where the Buckeyes have as many or more than any SEC team(37 to Bama's 23). They are a conservative team, which has caused them a lot of losses, but they are fast and talented.

Mark Ingram is not better than Beanie Wells either. Mark Ingram may not be better than his own teammate, Trent Richardson.

IMO, the difference between Bama and OSU, is that the OSU defense was built to stop us. They liked to drop 7 or 8 into coverage, which is the recipe for defending what Colt likes to do. They lost the game because they broke their trend, and blitzed. Colt hit Quan, and the rest is history.

Bama likes to bring pressure, and play man. I think we will get some opportunities that we didn't see in the big12ccg.
This is a part of a post by one guy who posted here for a while, lecturing us. Note that he misses Javvy's role totally and he disagrees with the folks who voted him AA. He really seems to believe that italicized part...

I didn't read that far; was that the good "Dr.?" If not, then that poster earned the honorary title as well.

Since Javy blitzes on every down he must be a lot faster than I thought because I have only "caught him" blitzing maybe a down or two a game. Maybe we should call in the crew from TAPS to record these ghostly sightings of, "The Blitzing Javy."

"ppp" was his moniker here and one other board. Javvy may blitz three times a game, max. Otherwise, he's a CB - nickel in that formation since he's such a good centerfielder. He was the one arguing with me that AU didn't crowd the line and tried to prove it by a screenshot, pre-snap and just before AU walked the corners up. Head of concrete...

This is kinda funny because the 09' Longhorns could not beat the 08' Bucks IMO. The Longhorns aren't nearly as good offensively as they were last year. This is going to be a fun game to watch. RTR!

I love how some people post things like this not having anything based on fact. The guy has no idea what Javi's role is and his post proves it.

Hasn't a clue really.....Javy is a terrible corner, yeah right. Doesn't know Saban either, if CNS doesn't think you are good, guess what, you are not on the field and especially not starting. Some decent posts on there...but they lost me when the guy posted the stats for tOSU and BAMA showing the difference in the rankings. And then they kept on saying we were just like the tOSU team last yr. Ron White has always said "You can't fix stupid."

I actually made a couple of posts on that board, some of the posters are knowledgeable, savvy folks, but the "everything is better in Texas," and "people from Alabama are stupid" garbage gets old fast. The site's biggest problem is the guys who flame you for simply posting "Bama Fan here." I suppose this close to a big game isn't the time to introduce yourself...

TOSU has never and I mean ever had a defense even close to the speed, size and schematic soundness of ours.
And the teasips will soon find they have not ever seen anything like Crimson H*ll Saban will bring to Pasedena, most certainly not from the Buckeyes.

You know why he think of slot blitzer when he thinks of Javy? Because when Javy blitzes...the QB is hurried or sacked...most of the time. He is probably one of the most effective blitzing CBs in the nation. I want to say he has something like 13 tackles for loss. That is a lot for a CB. Also...Javy almost never misses a tackle. The only thing he doesn't have going for him is his height...but he more than makes up for it in every other facet of his game.

I honestly think we match up very well with the 'Horns. If they do plan well and take advantage of our weaknesses...we will make the needed adjustments. See the Auburn, LSU, and VA Tech games if you need examples.

That is the biggest problem found on message boards and something we try to keep away from ours. Some posters think that by tearing down the opposition it makes them better.

No, no, and no. Does our coach were a sweater vest?! I didn't think so. I dare you to even imagine CNS in a sweater vest. The human brain is not capable of uniting such opposites even in the imagination.
