I can't believe the way they esteem Terrell Pryor like that. The last time I checked Ohio State was pretty dissatisfied and many fans hoped he would leave early. Alabama fans, on the other hand, haven't been this happy with a quarterback in a long time.

Although there are some really sensible fans on there. For there sake I almost want the game to be close...but then I continue reading.

Gmac is a much better qb than pyror. Pryor can run the ball but he is not much of a passer and he seems to have problems reading defenses. I think we have a large advantage with Gmac. Texas will find out soon enough.:BigA:

Do you reckon that folks on the hornfans site have watched any film on Alabama?
I read the BS and I think they think Texas is playing the 08 Ohio team...

I hope they all are prepared to play a team thats much slower then Texas...
Prepared to play a RB much slower than Ohio's...
Prepared to play a team with few skills...
They think they are playing a team like 08 Alabama that don't want to be there...

Sounds like the hornfans folks think they have already won the game and the celebration has began...

"STAND AND DELIVER"...

Not sure what too say after reading that BS........ Man they are really walking the line of being as obnoxious as florida fans.... I have a brother who lives in Oklahoma and told me before the game starts you will see why we hate them so much.... They are a pretty dis-respectful bunch.... Didn't even continue after I got to the Javy thread it made me laugh I will give them that~!~
Sounds to me like they are trying to convince themselves and for the life of me I cannot understand all of the TP love?????? He is not a good QB and is better suited for a slot WR than the QB..... I was also glad to hear they think we have not played or defended a spread team all year long..... What rock have they been living under??
I fully expect us to be in the Nickel but I would not be surprised to see us in a 3-2-6 for this game, give CNS 30 days to disect a team and he will have the map to beating their obviously superior team~!~ :)

some of that stuff was down-right hilarious:

"arenas is not a good corner. He spends most of his time in the slot, blitzing. Which tells you how Saban feels about his coverage skills. If he was that good, Saban would keep him back defending. He is a great return guy, however."

he is an all-american corner, idiots

NIiiiice!
People who know me know that I don't make statements like that lightly. He and I have had a couple of "exchanges" before he was banned, which he decided to edit and post on UT boards. In my book, that's "scum." If you want to test my "idiot" remark, review his statement to the effect that Javvy is a bad corner whom CNS keeps in the slot, blitzing all game. He missed the fact that JA is an All-American corner whom all teams (so far) throw away from. If you have a better definition of "idiot," lay it on me. FWIW, we're screening new UT posters more and more tightly...

The guy is an idiot and a gadfly with just enough football knowledge to fit into a thimble...

Let me guess, it was that "ppp" guy, right? He was one of the main ones who would come over here so full of himself and his amazing football knowledge, telling us all how lucky we are to even play texas. He even pointed out how to properly break down the Auburn game. They weren't selling out for the run, they were just really close to the line! ;)

EDIT: Oops, should have read the whole thread first, you already said that...^^^^

But yeah, we are just like 08 OSU. We both like to use the ACE formation, we both like to run and control the ball, and we almost have the same color scheme! Who doesn't see the similarities!
For the life of me, I just don't understand why these texas fans feel the need to run our team down and pump theirs up to inhuman levels. I can't decide whether that board reeks of overconfidence or insecurity. It is such a thin line...

504, forgive them for they knoweth not what they do. Truth is, I've enjoyed reading many of the posts on this board and have learned a lot about the Alabama team, which I wanted to do. But I've also read where we must put eight in the box to stop your running game and we must double JJ to keep him in check. When we demur, it's sometimes perceived as arrogance. But what, does Alabama just send two receivers out on pass plays? Or do we get
to play 12 men on defense? It's an Alabama board, and there will be Crimson Tide sunshine pumpers on it. I know you're a reasonable man; don't go to a Longhorn board and not expect to find something similar.

Well there's "sunshine pumping" and then there's "BS slinging". Usually it's pretty easy to tell the difference. :D

Every time I hear that sort of talk coming from someone, I go back to Mike Tyson's (in)famous quote:
"Everybody's got a gameplan until they get punched in the mouth."

Seeing the team speed on the field vs. seeing it on the tape are two entirely different things. I sure hope their team comes in the game as confident as their fanbase is.

Update: And another thing...it always tickles me to hear fans from opposing schools this season refer back to the Utah game last year and how their passing attack confused us, etc. I wonder if it's every occurred to them that we knew that every team we faced this season was probably thinking the same thing and was going to prepare to try and attack us the same way...AND because we knew that, we've been preparing for it all season...naaaah...Saban's not that smart. He doesn't know what he's doing...heh
