LSU may be 6-2 right now, but their only losses have been complete blowouts to the Gators and to UGA. This is the game that determines who goes to Atlanta for the SECCG. For them to beat us it would give them the opportunity to seek revenge for the whipping the Gators put on them two weeks ago. No way are they NOT going to be psyched and prepared for this game.
The Tide has much the same motivation, except not only will we be playing for the chance to go to Atlanta, we will also be defending our #1 ranking. We MUST win this game in order to reach the next level. That said, I'm certain the Tide will approach the game with the same business-like manner it has for the past 9 games. We'll put it all on the line and bring every weapon we have to bear on them. This game will be hard-fought by both teams but I'm sure CNS will show his Red Stick successor who is the better coach.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. But LSU qB situation is not that good and LSU has problems on defense. I predict a blowout. I believe Saban keeps the team focused and LSU gets a beating.:BigA:

This week the team will see Coach Saban's intensity on a whole new level. We will also see how far the team has bought into the process and not the polls.

I think the game will be close.
After watching Coach Saban on Saturday go ballastic on multiple occasions while we were pitching a shutout, I would hate to see him any more intense.

All I can say is you know he wants this win, BAD. He is going to blitz the LSU Offense in ways they have never seen. I also imagine that we are likely to be very creative with the playcalling and probably go vertical early, much like we did against UT. I don't see a blowout in this one though. It's more likley to be another classic nailbiter.

This one's going to be close. I think that if we REFRAIN from turning the ball over, we'll win, but ONE turnover could cost us the game. In addition, let's hope Tiffin doesn't miss any field goals either.

27-24 good guys. That's based on zip though, and there isn't an outcome you could imagine that would seem unrealistic to me.

My gut says we'll win, but the LSU DL vs. our OL matchup in passing situations has me scared stiff. They might've not produced like they were supposed to as of yet, but the potential for a huge game is always there with talent like theirs... especially against an OL that's proven porous; and that's not even mentioning that dissapointing units have had a way of getting up for us in recent seasons.

I think Bama makes a statement with this game. CNS has a defensive gameplan that will totally confuse LSU QB Lee into making many mistakes. Bama wins and wins big. 42-9
