it's Sunday, let's get it started early...

The Tide will be rested and fully prepared for MSU. MSU's late success in the running game will be stuffed by the Tide D and the passing game will struggle. Bama continues its dominating running attack as Darby runs for 135 and Johns adds 85. Pennington doesn't do anything to lose the game and completes 8 of 14 for 126 yards. Bama dominates the state of MS this year.

MSU is definitely an improved football team over the past couple of weeks but I still think the only way Bama loses is if it beats itself. (e.g. turnovers, penalties, etc.) I think the game plan will revert to a UK/USM where our run to pass ratio will be very disproportionate. MSU's QB is playing better and will probably make a couple of plays on our D but in the end Bama will be too strong. Tide 28 MSU 14

Yep, MSU qb Omarr Conner has really improved his passing game. Against Kentucky, he was 7-16 for 77 big yards, no TD's and 1 int. Spencer Pennington in his first start was 7-11 for 83 yards and 0 int. against the Cats.

MSU scored one (1) offensive touchdown in their 22 - 7 win over UK. They scored on a safety, 2 FGs, and Quinton Culbertson's interception which he ran back 35 yards for a TD.

MSU turned the ball over 3 times last week. I think we beat them with superior defense and special teams. Our offense, as vanilla as it is, will be enough to put more points on the board than MSU can muster. Sure, they will play like a team on a mission, but IMO the Florida win was a fluke and UK is just that bad. UK is 1-7 for the season.

I always think you should not take your opponent lightly. I do not think CMS will either since a bowl bid is on the line. However, a reality check for some fans is in order......MS victory over hapless Ky was no upset. The cats are imo the worst team in the SEC this year. Also,UF was poorly prepared and has a total lack of discipline on that team.In fact Foley may have saved that program by firing that sorry coach b/c besides his ability to get great players (with shady recruiting practices according to Bowden at FSU)he has no ability to coach them up.I believe the only chance the dogs have is if KD has an injury(heaven forbid) which would totally cripple our offense.Otherwise we grind out the run,and our D shuts down theirs.I really believe we win this game......maybe not easy, but a win.

I wonder how big a part emotion will play. No doubt they will be fired up and wanting to win one for 'the Gipper' because we snubbed their coach and then took his name off the trophy. I look for a close game.

Big Game !!!

To paraphrase Coach Bryant "It's a big game because it's the next one".

MSU is always a big game in my house. My wife is a MSU grad and while I have pretty well indocrinated her to Alabama football, old alliances rear their ugly head for this week. Alabama has played State more than any other team in our long and storied history and more often than not we have come out on top, but also more often than not it's not easy. I expect this to be a hard fought game with the better prepared team coming out on top. There's no doubt Coach Croom will have the bullies ready come Saturday, but I also think Coach Shula and his staff will have the Tide ready to roll. Run, run and then run some more, as usual this will be our key to victory. It would be nice to see SP get a little confidence in his passing game (I really think that is all he needs, a little confidence) but I'd also like to see about 350 yards of rushing to keep the dogs at bay. All we'll need is 14 points to win, but 28 or 35 would be nice.
Hope to be there Saturday, but I know we'll be in Baton Rouge next week for our bi-annual win in Tiger Stadium (our home away from home).
If we win this week can we make our reservations for Nashville? I just can't make myself go to Shreveport.

Bulldogs looking forward to the trip to Tuscaloosa..

Last night I saw the Croom show and at the end he was talking about how he was looking forward to going to Tuscaloosa and thinks the bulldogs will be ready.
I have a feeling this will be a close one. Hope I am wrong.

I think Bama will come out hungry since this game has bowl implications.

MSU will be fired up, they want this one for their Coach.
It will be a close game. We need this one to go bowling.
This game has alot of importance to us, if we lose this ONE, the BAMA nation is gonna come unglued like never before. :BigA: I do not predict scores, again, this will be a close one.

Defensive line and linebackers for Bama have to be game on. Must stop Connor and the Running back for Ms State. If that happens, allow less than 100 yards on the ground, Miss State will not score many points.

Which is good, because we can't score much, contrary to what our game performances show at times.

In our losses, we have been enemic on offense. This will be the story for the rest of the year. More competitive teams now on the schedule. Darby will do well though, not as well as before the Castille injury.

Bama manages to put together some decent drives, and Bostick's leg gets an NFL tryout.

Woe is me. Woe is me. :(

I'm afraid we'll lose to Southern Miss. They're up for this game, and they're due for a win. They're undefeated, and even if we win, it will be a close game. I heard their coach talking, and he wants this game bad. We will HAVE to pass to be able to win.

Oh...wait...that's right....Bama whipped Southern Miss 27-3. How silly of me to forget.

It's really an insult to our guys, especially our defense, to think we'll have to fight for our lives to win this game.

If some of you who think M$U has a legitimate chance to beat Bama, then I expect you to have the same optimism for Bama to beat Auburn in three weeks.

Coach Croom said he wants this game. Well, it's over. Let's just forfeit the game before we embarrass ourselves.

Well, I have faith in the players of my favorite team and I have faith in the coach of my favorite team that they will get the job done, and I'm not going to worry about it this week.

RDT!!! :biga:
