Outside of those two bad throws by Mac the offense played about as well as anyone could have ever hoped. Scoring that many points on the road at Auburn is incredible. Even with the pick sixes I'd give the offense an A that game.Sure, offense wasn't perfect vs LSU and it cost us....because our defense wasn't very good.
I can see you saying it was both sides of the ball vs Auburn (2 pick 6s) but we lost to LSU because of our defense.
The D didn't throw a pair of pick-6s, one of which came when we should have scored. 21 point swing is a lot.Nah, they lost because of the defense. The defense was bad and the players on the defense should feel bad that they needed a 3rd-game starter at QB to be Tua Tagovailoa to have a chance to win. I'm tired of the sunshine pumping on this subject.
Bama only played good competition twice this year and gave up 47ppg in those games.Rgw may not be popular right now, but other than JG fumbling away a TD, when did our defense make a big play against good competition this year ?
LOL - Seriously, asking the offense to only throw 1 pick 6 instead of two would have sufficed - far from perfect. Stop buying into the garbage that the pessimists are selling.I agree with rgw on this one. If you need the offense to be perfect to win then the loss is on the defense.
Actually great point. 2nd year in a row our offense has absolutely shredded an AU defense that hadn't let up anywhere close to the amount of points we scored vs them.Outside of those two bad throws by Mac the offense played about as well as anyone could have ever hoped. Defense gets a D.
Special teams gets a C+.
Post of the Month! The glass is not half full. And it's not half empty. Engineers say the glass is too big.
That is vs AU what does that have to do with the LSU game. Read my other post you may have an argument for that Auburn game but not the LSU game. (still scored more than enough to win vs Auburn though and the defense can't say the same about stopping their offense)LOL - Seriously, asking the offense to only throw 1 pick 6 instead of two would have sufficed - far from perfect. Yep, which is why I keep coming back to this thread for updates. I wish all of our football players who committed to play football for UA would play in this game but for those who don't opportunities abound for others.I think Diggs sitting out is an advantage as we get to see, for better or worse, a glimpse of our future at that position
Yes the reason we lost to LSWho was because of our defense and I'm not arguing otherwise but we could have won if our offense had not thrown the pick before halftime. I am not talking about stats but what could have happened if we did not make these mistakes. They did have a pretty good offenseSure, offense wasn't perfect vs LSU and it cost us....because our defense wasn't very good.

The season did not end with the LSU game - it ended with the Auburn game. Somehow Alabama played the worst game in Saban's tenure in that game. Every aspect of the team failed. That is what needs to get fixed - not just the defense. That is vs AU what does that have to do with the LSU game. Lewis and Diggs out, JJ playing. Nothing else official.Have no read entire thread. Is there a link to something at least semi-official?
I mean our back up QB making his first road start vs one of the better defenses he will likely face in his career had 2 bad throws? We put up 45 points on a team that hadn't allowed more than 24 all year including to LSU. Sure both sides failed but one failed a good bit more than the other. The season did not end with the LSU game - it ended with the Auburn game. Clemson had a championship team. Auburn was a 4 loss team. But both were terrible losses.I mean our back up QB making his first road start vs one of the better defenses he will likely face in his career had 2 bad throws? And IMO the worst played game in Saban's tenure was vs Clemson.
Cool, sums up 17 pages real quickLewis and Diggs out, JJ playing. Nothing else official.
