As I said on the first post of this thread, CB Marquis Johnson is ready to commit to Bama. His family wants him to take a few visits first, but he'll be another CB commit for the Tide between now and his visits which are UF and UT games.

Tallahassee cornerback Ryan Hill gets FSU offer; Bama listed in his top 5

With a Florida State offer now in hand, the four-star recruit is up to 25 total. Prior to the new offer, Florida and Miami were leading the way but now he says it's a three team race at the top.

"Definitely, I would say top three," Hill said of FSU. "My top five is kind of going in and out right now. I've got Florida, Florida State, Miami and then Alabama and Clemson and maybe a team in California in there."

I just noticed on Rivals that we were cut by Mcdaniel along with 4 other teams, not that I think he is a must or anything but I liked his highlight reel and I thought that Upchurch (former teammate) would help us out more in his recruitment.

Here is some sad recruiting news.

Bama prospect Jared White arrested in Mobile

Williamson High School receiver Jared White, one of the top college football prospects in the state, was arrested over the weekend on two misdemeanor charges after allegedly fleeing from police.

White, 18, was booked and released by Mobile police early Sunday morning on charges of failure to obey an officer and resisting arrest. The charges are both Class C misdemeanors, which carry maximum sentences of three months in jail.

The Orlando Sentinel has broken down its recruiting chart by position, introducing you to the dozen best seniors at each position. Remember, this list is an opinion and will change throughout the fall.

Recruit ratings and rankings are merely opinions and subject to change as is stated in the article. One recruiting analyst's or writer's 4 star is anothers 2 star. I know what you mean though it seems like the ratings should be a little closer or in agreement most of the time.
