Bama should pass Texas again in both

Texas barely squeaked past Bama in both polls last week, but this victory ought to create a #1 vs #2 SECCG if AL/FL win out.

Bama should move back to where they were in points ahead of Texas, which was fairly comfortable.

It's not a big deal really, but I would prefer #2 if had the choice :)

There will always be bad calls. The interception that was not called probably was one and could have changed the result of the game. However, from someone wearing crimson glasses right now, I am so glad the call went our way!

Not gonna happen, Colt McCoy had a huge day and Texas had their way with UCF. We're fine where we are... :)

Go look at the point difference and the strength of schedule and get back to me.

Side note: Mark Ingram had a Heisman day too:cool2:

We were ahead by 44 points and they beat a top 20 team while we rested up and are now ahead of us by 18. We just beat a top 10 team........I think we'll make up the 18 points in the AP, and move to #2 in the BCS also.

You may be right....but it wouldn't bother me if we didn't move up....it's no biggee... BCS we might actually have a better chance of moving up than the coaches or AP polls... Guess we'll just have to wait and see :) I'm just glad we finally put some TD's on the board... :BigA:

I was sick at my stomach with visions of 24 to 3 in my head. I am so happy more than anything that Greg threw two TD's and had good solid numbers. His best game in what seems like years

I was expecting a breakout game considering they only had 8 sacks all year, but it took a while to get going.

True, but it's better to be ranked as high as possible these days. I wouldn't take anything for granted.

I could care less actually. Either we win out or we dont do what we are shooting for.

PS- We would whip Texas head up.
That seems to be the popular assuming answer.

We might as well reward Texas the #1 position and let #2 Florida Play a #3 Alabama for the right to play king Texas.

They can watch at home while us under dogs battle it out to see who gets to play Colt and the boys.

It would also be a good excuse to say the big 12 is better than the SEC, since no one cares to see the SEC at #1 and #2 in the championship game.

We are better than Texas, but you don't care if they stay ahead of us?

I really can't stand Texas or Mack Brown. As long as wind up ahead of them when its all done. Thats all I really care about.
I just don't get it. You never control your own destiny when it comes down to it, there is always that small odd that could get you. I could concoct one to, take the highest rank always.

Alabama controls their own destiny if they win out. But how about a one loss Alabama team beating an undefeated Florida, and maybe Texas drops another game and wins their conference. These things can happen. And Bama or Texas could both still shoot back up to #2, and teams like Iowa lose here and there. You never, never know.

Wish for the #2 for the sake of the unknown.

Don't think so. McCoy had 470 yards passing yards. Can you imagine if we could put up those kind of numbers?

We could if we played in the Big 12 and stopped running the ball. They have no ground game. McCoy is their entire offense. In that respect, Texas is very similar to Florida...
