Then why even bother with the SECC or the BCSNC games at all? Let's just play on Nov 5 for all the marbles!! :wink:

Winner should get a bye to NO. Loser should go to Atlanta. Win there and go to NO for rematch.

Seriously. A 13-0 Bama will be ranked #1 in the BCS, and an 11-1 LSU will be ranked #2 and get a rematch. If it's the other way around, forget it.

I am a Tennessee guy, and I will tell you that anyone who thinks Bama is overrated doesn't know anything about football. Bama & LSU are on another level right now. With that being said I think it is still possible for a upset. :biggrin: Seriously though it is Bama & LSU then everyone else.

What's funny is people comparing our schedule to LSU's...saying LSU has played the toughest schedule blah blah blah.

Oregon is ranked 9th. Well Arkansas is 10th.
WVU is ranked 16th. Well Florida is 17th.

But Penn State is unranked. True...but they're 33rd in AP votes. Miss St has none.

North Texas and Kent State? How about Kentucky and Norfolk State (FCS opponent)?

But Oregon has the 1st ranked scoring offense and 6th ranked Total Offense. Yeah...well they've played 3 teams aside from LSU, and not one of them has more than 1 win. Essentially they're beating up on scrub squads.

But WVU was an away game, in a hostile environment (Morgantown) and they have the 6th ranked passing offense, 13th ranked scoring offense, and 14th ranked total offense. Well Bama's played in Happy Valley and Gainesville and beat both handily, and WVU has played 1 ACC opponent, 2 MAC opponents and 1 FCS opponent. 4 of their games have been at home, and even against LSU they put up 533 yards. An accomplishment? Not quite...they put up the same against Norfolk State and more against Bowling Green. Maryland held them to 480 and MARSHALL held them to under 300. Their stats are highly inflated.

So those pumping up LSU as deserving their ranking for having ran SUCH A DIFFICULT GAUNTLET simply haven't researched just what they have done. Don't get me wrong...LSU looks good and will definitely present a challenge on Nov 5th. But I've yet to be awestruck by what they've accomplished, and neither should anyone else be.

Truth be known, I rather enjoy being thought of as overrated. I'm sure CNS and our staff do as well. Maybe folks will actually buy into that and be miserably let down when they find out how wrong that assessment is. I hope we don't make it to #1 until AFTER the BCSNCG.
