Refs just remembered they’re supposed to call every ticky-tack foul on our bigs.

14-0 run for AZ and we’re losing our composure.4+ minute drought.

Hate to say it, but if they go up by 10 I don’t see us coming back. Another game where we could’ve used Bediako - hope he’s having fun riding the bus in the G league.

These 3 games are highlighting we cannot be an elite team without an effective big man. Doesn’t even have to be elite. Just 7 foot and can dunk and block and be protected by refs.
Didn’t Oats think Bediako was coming back and didn’t look for a big rim protector? CB left Bama in the lurch when he decided late to stay in the draft when it was pretty clear he wouldn’t be drafted.

I hope these guys can turn it around. No continuity. No leader to take over when things are falling apart. Was hoping Nelson would be a beast but has struggled with his shooting. Sam is a scorer but needs to work on defense. Pretty much shut down Sears and you shut us down. No lock down defenders. Stevenson has a ton of potential and will be a great player just has to mature. Estrada needs to step up and take pressure off Sears. Wague and Pringle have been given some tough assignments the last 3 games and have been overshadowed by horrible officiating. Team still has potential but unless something clicks soon they will not be making the tournament.

When you shoot like we did tonight. Turn the ball over like we did tonight. Even having CB would not have made a difference.

I couldn’t stay up anymore. But the constant negative post after post after I crashed isn’t good. Threads can’t be repetitive dumps of negativity.

you guys have to be better than that. The post quality after midnight was atrocious. Not one quality post. Miss after miss after miss. It was unreadable And even though the moderating wasn’t the best, I had higher expectations of your post quality, and I came away disappointed. You guys are not going to provide very much confidence that you can do this unless someone is present to prevent such ineffective takes from happening. Over and over. I am truly disappointed. Your posting style isn’t conducive to today’s fans. You guys just gave up after midnight. What’s going on (above paragraph in dark blue font)

I’m hoping you get my attempt at what it’s like to read post after post of negative. It kills a thread. It’s not accomplishing anything. And everyone else leaves. Because there’s no point in participating once it gets to that point.

These guys need to get in the weight room if they are going to be with us for a while. We just aren't physical enough to play inside out basketball for 40min. I think this team is mentally tired. Losses to OSU, Clemson, Purdue, Creighton, and Zona shows we are rebuilding more than we are reloading.

Not sure Oats’ meat-grinder scheduling is having the effect he hoped for this year.
It remains to be seen. If losing these games hardens and teaches and we use them to shore up obvious weaknesses then these losses will be good ones.

I don't know about y'all, but we could be 11-0 right now if we played a bunch of cupcakes, but that really wouldn't tell us anything about where we stand approaching SEC play so I'd rather us know what we are up against.

I think the defense is getting better, but the lack of bigs to defend and rebound is a huge hole that we probably can't fill this year.

I know it doesn't help to say it but the loss of Beds is obvious but Miller and Clowney were excellent defenders and rebounders too! We miss those last two just as much on defense as offense.

I'm afraid this year we are a lot like the old Big 12 football offenses. We we are on (making 3's) nobody will be able to defend us cause we can overcome bad defense and outscore everybody. But when we struggle offensively against better teams, we are going to struggle to win.

Make no mistake about it, these games will help us in SEC play, but we probably don't have the horses to make a run at the SEC again this year.
