You were mentioning the dumb plays. That describes each of our inbounds...
CNO is great out of TOs usually on inbound plays. He often draws up an easy scoring opportunity, but we had several last night that looked like bad, 8th grade basketball.

Perhaps AU defended the first or second options and the 3rd or worse option isn't as foul-proof, but I hope that gets addressed!

I'd like to see one of our bigs to get the toss-in role...

He didn’t really play big role in this game but Mouhamed Dioubate has been getting some minutes since we started the SEC slate and he has been all effort when he gets in the game. Hopefully hangs around an builds on this year. He needs to work on his offensive game but see a lot of upside.
Nelson is athletic and is developing toughness. Just need him to get that confidence in his scoring ability. With Rylans improvement we can go a long way if Nelson gets it going.

I keep thinking Nelson had a nagging injury but maybe not.

He showed last night that he can go strong to the basket offensively and maybe he has finally decided to embrace the expected contact. He is athletic enough to handle it with his height even though he does not carry a lot of weight.

Nelson reminded me of Robert Horry when I saw Nelson play in the first few games.

Since he took over it’s been a struggle to throw the ball in. It’s been harder to throw it in under CNO than the previous coaches that I can remember to be honest. Coach is great at a lot of things but inbounding is not one. Also blocking out when the other team shoots FT, we seem to give up those rebounds surprisingly often. But that is more minor and nit picking.

I thought Nelson did a pretty good job rebounding, considering that he was giving up so much weight to Broome...

I think Horry had 100 blocked shots his last year at Bama.

I agree. Nelson has done a pretty good job rebounding all year and actually pretty good on d in the post all year for his weight and strength. But that doesn’t really relate to my post. I was specifically speaking about him on rebounding during opposing FTs. It’s been a mix of guys giving those up. But again that was a minor thing as opposed to the inbounding comment.

I think he's at the biggest disadvantage on FT rebounds. I actually felt sorry for him, with his skinny arm out in front of Broome. Overall, we out-rebounded them and smothered them in 2nd chance points...
