Well, I think we have solidified our bid to the CBI! :biggrin2:

Just kidding (Not really, I'm dead serious)! Great win tonight though! It was impressive early on and we hung on for dear life, but we will take it. Roll Tide!!!

I missed the entire game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Baseball practice time again. Sounded like we beat them like a drum there for awhile. Great win.. and another I definitely didn't expect.
 
Wow- watched the game with a few Uf fans (friends of mine). Outstanding win for the Tide!!! Those guys were in total shock (as was I). Kept asking me if we were accustomed to losing big leads, I said that we weren't normally accustomed to building such big leads but then rightfully put them in their place with a big ROLL TIDE after Riley hit the 3 with a chance for 4!!!!Great win for the Tide. I guess we will be playing a little more bball this year. :biggrin:
 
Scarlett Oh my- Absolutely no sense in downgrading this victory, period. Great win against an inexperienced Florida team? A team that was fighting for it's life for an NCAA tourney bid? Really? This was a great win for the Tide any way you want to look at it. Don't know who we are playing next? Don't worry about it. I'm sure we will hear from you if we lose.

It was a win. That 30-point margin did get pretty thin at times, though.

Florida is an inexperienced team that played poorly in SEC play and beat up on cupcakes back in the Fall. Don't mistake this Florida team for last year's or the year before's. Florida would have been lucky to get in the NCAA Tournament, and most of the experts thought UF would have to make it to the SEC Tournament Championship Game to get that NCAA bid. That means they'd only have a 1-game advantage over Alabama in the bubble talk, since Alabama would have to win the SEC Tournament Championship Game to get an NCAA bid.

This was a win, but it epitomizes the very things that infuriate me about Alabama basketball. Where was that defensive intensity all year? Where was that offensive execution all year? They were nowhere to be found. Now, after honorable postseason opportunities are all but a wisp, we actually see some REAL "want to" from the players and some decent game planning from the coach. Just in time to "save" a job, I guess.
 
Alright. Just saw the score! RTR. I was sick last night and it was nasty, but I am feeling a little better, well a lot better with the score. Way to go. Next stop MSU!
 
I only got to periodically check scores. When it got to a 9 point spread I thought we were done. Congrats to the team and CMG for getting up and then holding against the rally. I was totally wrong about this team in this game.

I turned the game inside and was listening to music outside last night, with the intent on checking in once in a while to see how bad it was. I checked-in the first time when we were up by 22, I think. I watched the entire 2nd half!
 
Once I heard how the game transpired I had to read the thread to see the meltdown when Florida was coming back. This could be a major breakthough in that they didn't break. They bent as far as they could but pulled it back together. Maybe this and the football's bowl victory will be seen as pivotal turning points for the respective programs. One can hope anyway.
