Forget the results - just watch the game again and focus on their play. They knew where they were supposed to be, who they were supposed to "take", and in what direction they were supposed to be leveraging. I saw a near perfect technical performance by your o-line. The results might not have been the same against a better defense, but the execution and technique were as good as you will ever see in a football game. Light years better than you were in those areas against VT.
Lou Holtz spelled this out in detail on College Football Final

SIAP..Here's a yahoo article about the targeting penalty called against HAHA that almost got him ejected from the game..

Here's The link..CLICK ME
Thanks for this.
I was wondering why the A&M player wasn't penalized for targeting Clinton-Dix. Walker got in Clinton-Dix's way and hit Clinton-Dix with his helmet.

Just so glad we don't have a high profile game after an emotional win like this. This game last year obviously was the next game and bit us bad. Next week we get the Rams and then on to another big game in Ole Miss. Should give us time to gel and get that much better both physically and mentally.

Good point. Imagine if Ole Miss or even worse, LSU, was the next game instead of Colorado State.

I seem to remember Coach Stallings saying to win a National Championship a team needed 3 kinds of luck: scheduling luck, injury luck, and game luck (like where the ball bounces). This season looks like a good opportunity for the schedule luck to fall into place.

I have not read this entire thread or saw a thread about what I am going to ask. I noticed Kellen Williams in at RG late in the game instead of Steen. Does anyone know if Steen got hurt or the reason Williams was in?

No official word, but that is the assumption.

during the broadcast it was mentioned that the trainers took away steen's helmet and wouldn't let him back in. aj mentioned how well kellen played on the last drive.
